Watching Manning pump fake to open up Buress got me thinking...

It sure would be nice to see Hoyer do this. Pump fake to freeze the corner and open up Dell for the nice sideline td.

Of course, you need an O line to give you some time to even do that.

The only pumping Hoyer is going to have time for this year is fist pumping...

I said the same thing to my dad, he never ever pump fakes.

Hoyer's hands aren't big enough to effectively pump fake.

I think Hoyer wants to try that.... but he was too busy trying to get rid of the ball before he got planted by a DT last weekend.

Yep this O line better learn how to block fast. You might get away with poor blocking against the lesser teams like EMU and FAU, but you won't in the Big 10. Hoyer was running for his life most of the time in that game, how could he have time to pump fake. If the blocking is better that will give Hoyer more time in the pocket to pass to his open WR. Let's work on the simple things before we add the pump fake in the playbook.

Teams do not fear Hoyer, so a pump fake would be futile. The o-line does not matter when teams don't fear a subpar qb.
