Package deal. Hossa and Kopecky are both Slovaks and good friends.

Agreed. I don't have any issue with the Wings losing Kopecky. It's just annoying as hell that the Hawks are stealing from/copying the Wings. I liked it more when they were sad sacks.

From Hockeybuzz/Eklund:
Steve Montador, acquired by the Bruins at the trade deadline, has signed a multi-yr deal with the Sabres. I've read that it's a 2-yr deal at $1.55m/season.

Holy ****, the Hawks gave Kopecky $1.2 million a year. He never made more than minimum with Detroit.

I like that one. He'll add some grit and experience the Ovechitals lacked this year. Hopefully they can add a #2 center and some defensive defensemen. They are a fun team to watch.

I need to have something to do while writing snarky letters to banks and vendors. This is what is described as "zelous representation of your cleint."
Oh, and TSN has just confirmed Nikolai Khabibulin to the Edmonton Oilers, four years for $15 million
You really should get the tinfoil helmet. Reception is great down here.

Bulin Wall to Oilers is funny because Tommy Hawk still has to watch that sack of hot garbage Huet "tend" net.
They best trade that French surrender monkey if they want to complement their wanna be status as the Gold Coast Wings.

Hossa will be 42 at the end of this deal. I guess Chicago has learned from the Wings how to sign players to low cap hits

Chicago is going to be good next year. That is a big cap hit to take for 12 years.
