How many people were turned away??

I don't get why so many of those pros waited so long to enter. They know better. That said Harrahs should have allowed all the players in. They only had 873 players on Saturday for cryin out loud.

Both sides are at fault. Harrah's should've never had one of the day 1's happen on July 4. That was just asking for trouble. To compound the error, they scheduled day 1D (which always has the most signups) for the Monday after the long weekend making it an even more popular day. Pros like Antonius, Flack, Forrest, etc should know better and played an earlier heat. One thing that bugs me is that they set the cap at 3,000 per day on the site but it sounds like they actually capped the 1D number at a little over 2800. If you're going to set a cap like that at least stick with it. The first 200 players in line (that were turned away) have legit beefs imo.

for real? he loses a tourney in which there are 6500 entrants despite being top 10 on day 3? If he is 4x better than the average player in the remaining field of ~2000 (which he is not), then he has a 1:500 chance of winning.

me thinks you lack some basic understanding of big field poker tournaments.

Thank you.

You know, the other day I had the first two numbers of the lottery matched, then I SCREWED up and didn't win. What a dick I am.

Phil Ivey now has 11.3 million chips with 35 players left. He is in third place overall.

Also, Joseph Cada, a 21 year old from Shelby Township, MI is in 5th with 8.8 million.

Blair Rodman is still in it and is considered a big time pro even though he has rarely shown up on ESPN or the WPT.

Ludovic Lacay's a pretty big name on EPT, I believe. Ivey has the most pressure of anyone right now.

I actually play on a work co-ed softball team with his sister. I heard he is gauranteed something like $150k already. Not bad.

Looks to me like there are a lot of chips on table 3. I didn't add it up, but 6 of the 9 have close to 10 million. There will either be someone from that table with a massive chip stack at the final table, or they'll all play tight because they see how much trouble they can get in and how they should be able to hang in there for quite a while. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

I happened to tune in last week and saw the royal flush beat the four of a kind. Has this ever happened before at WSOP? What are the odds, one in a gazillion of those two hands showing up at the same time?

Wow.

Wow, incredible runs by Ivey and Esfandiari. A big name pro (which I consider them both) winning would defy some pretty huge odds. Think about it - every table these guys sat down at from the start of the tournament they have been the target of every other player. Every amatuer wants to be able to call home and say "I knocked out Phil Ivey!!"

I hope at least one of them makes it to the final table.

Not to mention that Phil Ivey NEEDS this one to put the icing on the cake and get the big one that has eluded him over the years. And also making this his 3rd bracelet this year which would be amazing in itself

My buddy ended up 314th and got just under 30k. Not bad for a $100 satellite win into the Main Event.
