4 day 1's is still ridiculous. I'll get a little more interested when we get to day 3

Also of note, Michigan poker players are definitely making a dent in the WSOP of this. Anthony Harb won a bracelet (I believe he's from the Redford/Livonia area), Ray Foley won a bracelet (He's from Plymouth or Northville), and Jamin Stokes made it to the semifinals of the $10,000 head's up tournament, beating Johnny Chan in the quarter finals (He's from Grand Rapids). On top of that, numerous other young players cashed in many different events. Definitely a nice showing for Michigan poker.

was only 6800 last year. Economy is down a little plus the government caused a few week delay in online withdrawls at about the worst possible time

Is the cash option new as of a few years ago?

I was hoping the three month delay for the final table would be a one year experiment, but apparently not.

I don't care for it either. Last of the day 1 players play today. Rumor has it over 2400 players will be playing today.

2006 winner Jamie Gold is done. I don't think he has made it to day 2 since he won it all. 2003 champ Moneymaker got busted too.

It sounds like too many people tried to register for day 1D and a lot of players got turned away (3,000 capacity per day). Antonius, Cloutier, Flack, and Forrest were among those that weren't allowed in.

Antonius is playing. So is Sully Erna, who apparently was farther back in line from a lot of people who got turned away. Harrah's really screwed up, and if it comes out that some of these people got preferential treatment, the angry people who got turned away will have even more of a reason to be upset.
