Bump, making the kid take a bath tonight BEFORE fireworks, and not allowing her to put her feet in the lake while watching them.

Bumpity bump bump for the "misery loves company" crowd.
FWIW, you had to know that a smart-alec comment like that would not garner a positive response, so you kinda dug your own grave with that one.

Don't be under the impression that by posting in this thread I have a horrible wife, she's the greatest. But I will take part in it on rare occasions (read: a couple of days every couple of months) because i think every married guy can relate.

Oh, bump for last night's conversation...

Her: "What?"
Me: "What do you mean, 'what?'"
Her: "You look like you're thinking about something"
Me: "No, nothing important."
Her: "You never talk to me."
Me:
Her: "Why can't you tell me when something's wrong?"
Me: "NOTHING is wrong"
Her: "Right"
Me: "Need anything from the store?"

This morning....

Her: "Can I do something for you today?"

I love my wife.

Just tonight she acted like one. I was trying to work it inside but she forced me to chuck it from the perimeter over and over and over.

Please... do tell when a guy has had a conversation like this with you... this conversation is not rare with women. It's like they can't sit in silence and enjoy ones company. If you are relaxing, then you get a "What's wrong?" And even when nothing is wrong, "nothing" is not an acceptable answer... Do tell

Didn't say that women don't do this, just that guys can be *******s for no apparent reason too.

most often when that conversation occurs, its bcuz something is going on that the women feels is important that needs to be hashed & rehashed (i.e. for a day or so after a big fight, or big decisions that need to be made). the woman wants to talk the topic to death, to make sure that everything will end up OK.
