Just remembered, my boss and McNair were good friends. They were roommates in college. He played basketball at Alcorn St.

Is it true that his wife, who is the reported shooter, was only 20 years old?

Here's how it relates to Favre:

"McNair's son Steve Jr. is a wide receiver at Hattiesburg Oak Grove High School in Mississippi, the school at which Brett Favre regularly works out during the off-season. Steve Jr. is scheduled to graduate in 2010 and has received offers from Mississippi State, Southern Miss, West Virginia, and Tulsa.[6]"

I think it was McNair's girlfriend, not his wife.

And if his son is graduating next year, then McNair must have became a daddy when he was like 17.

Two Points:

1) VERY sad news. A great player who was an icon in Nashville

2) AMAZING the way the story broke......I saw the RCMB thread and checked around on TV but no news for an hour or so. Again, the internet breaks a big story!!
Maybe because it was a holiday but the new news paradigm has again demonstrated its capability.

GO GREEN!

36 - 17 = 19

Every college football team in America has quite a few baby dadies (except maybe BYU).

OK. Maybe the lesson is nothing has really changed. It ain't true till it's been confirmed. The lesson is there is a huge new way of communicating and like any communication form, some is true, some not etc. All this confirmed is that a form like twitter can get the story out faster than any other form of communication........and now we see it was factual.

I haven't had the chance to follow this. Was it, in fact, a murder-suicide?
