how is that any different than having championship hats and tshirts ready to go for the World Series, Superbowl, Final Four, BCS Championship, etc?

Wouldn't know, I chose to watch Tigers' Weekly and pregame in lieu of drinking tea and eating crumpets and watching a fairy little tennis match.

I didn't like Roger's comment during the trophy presentation..."Don't be sad Andy, I've come up short in matches like that before, namely last year here at Wimbledon." Roddick replied, "yeah but you've already won this thing five times."
Roger bringing the attention back on himself after Andy played the match of his life and still came up short. I guess Roddick only has himself to blame after blowing a 6-2 lead in the second set tiebreak and two break opportunities late in the fifth but it still sucks.
Congrats to Roddick on a great run though, time to win the US Open in a few months.

Federer's comment seems very gracious to me. Seems like he's empathizing with Roddick's position.
Roddick seems to be playfully jabbing at him in a friendly way.
