Pretty much. Mexico has done a nice job defending set pieces. If the U.S. is gonna score, I would bet it comes off a corner.

Place looks packed, so it might cost you a bit to get in to only watch a bunch of B/C/D team scrubs play.

Fixed.
Carlos Vela should come in soon.

They should probably go right at Jay Heaps. He's due to get roasted a few more times in the 2nd half, and also is playing with a yellow. I'm gonna go ahead and pre-emptively blame him for a Mexico goal.

Do Mexican fans always get this excited about there subpar players winning a game?
Is it me or are the announcers on Univision(an American cable network) in the bag for Mexico?

The third goal was a very smart one to give up.....

I would say the talent for the next few years is clearly in Mexico's favor...The real test is when Mexico and US use their real teams to play each other in the World Cup qualifier.

That ref is calling mercy for the U.S.
That was a clear PK. Dos Santos clearly got tripped in the box.

Little bit. A loss is understandable but you can't cave like this.
If I take a positive from this its that this shows why a lot of these guys are bit players at best when talking about the USMNT. Hopefully this tempers some of the bloated opinions of these players. There is some skill out there (not too much though) but these guys don't have quite the mental fortitude to not get overrun like they have. I'll gladly stick with other players for South Africa.
In the end, this squad beat the teams it was more talented than. Then lost to a more talented side. No shame in that. I would just expect "A" team players to not get a shellacking like this and hold on to a more respectable score line.

Well it was clearly a makeup call for earlier. Not that its gonna help the U.S. any now. Mexico deserves this win but the goal to open up this beatdown was off a crap call.

You didn't think Dos Santos got his jersey pulled?
I thought he did. Clearly Dos Santos fell on purpose, but he was being held.

Yep. Definitely had his jersey pulled.
Still wasn't a penalty. If everytime a jersey was grabbed in the box a penalty was called people wouldn't complain about soccer being low scoring.

I completely disagree, but it still wasn't a penalty for me.
El Tri completely deserve this win though.

Dos Santos got his jersey pulled. Yeah, he fell on purpose, but there was a foul and the fall just made it visible to the referee.
Also, that play didn't create the massive difference in performance there is currently on the field.
Mexico was more than 4 goals better in this second half.
