I think the kind of funny/sick part of that story, at least the way i heard it was that the girls sister was there getting questioned by the police or the workers when the compactor got turned on. However she didn't yell for the workers to turn it off because she was still trying to say she hadn't been stealing with her sister and by telling them to turn off the compactor it would admit guilt because why else would her sister be in a trash compactor. Thats how I heard the story, who knows if its true. If it is though, the sister who didn't stop the workers from turning on the compactor because she didn't want to get in trouble for shoplifting should probably be charged with murder.

I wonder if one of the kids in the car bought up the idea, and the rest decided that they should do it.

That's definitely a contributing factor to a lot of teenage traffic accidents.

I think some, if not most states, have regulations on the number of teens allowed in vehicles operated by teen drivers.
I also had friends who's parents would not let them ride in a car not operated by someone under 20 years of age unless they knew and approved of the person driving.

I cringe when I see stories like this. Part of me says dumb idiots, who cares. But after becoming a parent it makes me not look forward to my little pre-schoolers becoming teenagers. I guess we hope that we raise them to make smart decisions when they get to be more independent and hope they choose their friends wisely.

I don't think the decapitation situation is funny either.

I'm not so much "offended" as I am "not amused". I imagine anyone from Canton who knew the kids would be offended.

Yeah, I thought jokes were supposed to be funny comments, but I guess I could be wrong. I'm all about finding humor in anything, but there is no need to basically say you approve of the death of 5 teenagers.

Good reminder for parents to monitor who their kids ride with. Even those teens that don't get hurt, killed or hurt someone else are too immature and irresponsible to drive a car.

The thing is,none of these chumps would say a damn thing if they weren't on the internet, people just love to try and look tough when they know they don't have to face anyone.

I'm with you on this one Touchdown. After reading this and watching stories like last nights Dateline: Crime, where a college girl, 19 or 20, was raped, strangled and burned, it makes me not look forward to my kids getting older. Like you said, just gotta raise 'em right and hope they make the right choices.

It would be funny if the posters calling the dead kids morons showed up at the funeral and told their families and friends how stupid the dead kids are. Fat chance that will happen.

I get what you're saying, but you telling me that disregarding a grade crossing gate isn't stupid? I don't think there's anything wrong w/saying that. It's a pretty natural reaction.

I don't like Michael Jackson and am not torn up inside about his death. But I wouldn't say that to his family, not out of cowardice but out of respect.

Exactly. Why would I feel the need to follow around and harass the family? I was just making a comment on the situation.

Jokes are funny. Saying something that indicates they deserved to die is not funny.

According to channel 4, there was an SUV stopped at the tracks, and the idiot driver tried to pass both the SUV and the train in spite of the bells, light, and gate. I feel no sympathy for the driver.

Do you know what the odds must be of getting hit as square as they did with two objects traveling close to 70 mph's?

He was actually going about 30 mph when they collided. The news was portraying him as hitting the brakes before impact, but I think he only slowed down to weave through the gates.
