Gates are there for a reason. I'm willing to bet that all 5 of the people in that car were in favor of driving around those gates.

Oh that's right, I forgot that is a capitol offence. So in reality the train just saved our justice system from having to have them all executed. I'm glad the rest of us never exercised poor judgement when we were young.

You guys ****ing disgust me. Teen drivers are stupid, yes, but theoretically 4 teens are dead because of the driver's mistake. Regardless, you guys are complete *********s.

The train pushed the kids who were trapped in the car over a half mile.

Just awful.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if a mod stepped up and axed the hateful stupidity in this thread.

For those of you who don't know when death is or isn't funny, I think it's clear in this case that it isn't.

Flame away.

How is this any better or worse than when that woman got killed in the trash compactor running from police?

Some of you have very odd, capricious and arbitrary standards when it comes to human tragedy.

I am going to have to agree with you on this.

This is a tragic story.

All it takes is one hot headed teen behind the wheel to change the lives of at least 5 families, their friends and communities.

How about the kid who hopped the fence at Six Flags and was decapitated? The RCMB really handled that in a classy manner.

It's different.

She was running from police and jumped into a trash compactor. Potentially funny.

They were kids in a car that was driven by someone with poor judgement. Not potentially funny.

If you can explain why it was ok to make jokes about the kid in the following linked thread and not ok to make comments about these kids, then I will apologize to you and everyone else who is offended.

I think the most dangerous thing for new drivers out there is having multiple friends in the car. I've seen 5-6 kids in a car before and the driver is definitely NOT paying attention - EVER. I know when I was in HS driving a bunch of friends, I just did not pay very close attention to what I was doing. I wonder if one of the kids in the car bought up the idea, and the rest decided that they should do it.
