I've been able to see all MSU football games this year on UVerse in HD, with at least one on BTN overflow that I can remember, so no complaints here.
I also get ESPNU now which I didn't have with Comcast. And there are usually a handful of BBall games on there.

After 25 years of Comcast, I switched over to AT&T Uverse. The best move I ever made. I highly recommend it. Soon they will have a picture phone system too. Did this last January 6th.
1. My only negatives were a bad cable to my HD TV,(it shows up with pixelation and sometimes picture lockups). They came out and traded a new cable and I have had no problems ever since.
2. The other gripe is their lack of a New Age music channel like I had on Comcast. Another positive is I am saving $60 a month for more channels and features. Again, you won't regret UVERSE at all. Congratulations on a smart move!!

HD Picture Quality..
Any of you guys have HD sets that have Uverse?
Everything I've heard about Uverse is it's priced well, but the HD channels are so compressed that it makes it tough to watch compared to cable HD channels.
I went to my buddy's house as well who just got Uverse and I felt the same way.
Thoughts?

There are a couple channels that don't seem to show up as well, but for the most part I can't really tell.

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but the picture quality is not quite as good as DirecTv when watching games in HD. However, I don't really see a difference with sitcoms, news, etc. The recording in one room and watching in another is pretty cool, it's also cool to start a show in one room, and finishing in another.
My biggest gripe is that the incoming channels are limited to 2HD channels at a time. They advertise 4, but that's 2HD and 2 standard. I run into this issue on Thursdays (Gray's anatomy/Office/Thursday college football) and Saturdays with all the games.

Had AT&T cable installed last year & had it taken out a couple weeks later.
First problem was that they hooked a cable box to every tv in the house,,,,,couldn't just run a wire into the extra tv's. Boxes were synched to brand of tv, which caused problems with the small under cabinet set in the kitchen.
The other downside was they didn't offer CBC (Channel 9 Windsor). So no hockey night in Canada or Olympics coverage, which is something I'd miss.
I'm curious from those who have their service, if they've addressed the cable box requirment &/or the CBC feed ?

I'm pretty sure you still need a separate cable box for every TV. That's pretty much the whole point, so you can DVR something and watch it on a different TV if you want.
I get CBC, it's channel 9 and it's called CBET.

Thx for the update re the CBC added to their channels list.
The biggest problem was that the cable box was actually bigger than that small kitchen tv. That defeated the purpose of having the set flip down from under a cabinet. Because it was not a "major" brand set, the installer could not get good sound quality for it when synching to their cable box.
May not sound like a big issue to most, but my wife watches that tv a lot & also didn't want to give up any counter space to store a cable box.

Huh, the main DVR box is about the size of my old DirecTv boxes. The additional boxes are about the size of a dictionary. Sounds like they've upgraded equiptment since you've had it.

Yeah the size of the boxes is really a non-issue, I really like having a box for every TV for the DVR and to be able to get all the HD channels on every HDTV.
How do you like U-Verse so far?

I've had U-verse for 18+ months and have had zero complaints. Their service is head and shoulders better than Comcrap. I've always had a tech out either same or next day depending on when I've called.

Just got uverse myself and absolutely hate it. The quality of the hd channels is horrendous. Huge mistake replacing Comcast for this bull****. Going to call tomorrow and cancel it. It sucks. I would not recommend this trash to anyone. **** Uverse and the cockhorse it rode in on.

I checked the settings on both my tv's and apparently the new stb with uverse enabled the hdmi black level and set it low. I set them both to normal and the picture is now a lot better. The Big ten network looks almost fantastic as does CBS and most others except for Fox. Fox looks like ass. Does Fox look bad for you guys?
