Your style gets you a very large and loyal audience. Some days when I'm in the meto Detroit area I listen and think its great radio. Other days not so much. But your style is working for you in the biggest market in the state and the 11th largest in the US.
College football got a little more equitable when 85 scholarship went into effect but the bowl system keeps the rich getting richer because they get those weeks of extra practice for bowls.
I like college football and basketball because the names of players change every year. That's why when I hear CMU fans say they own MSU its laughable. Many of the players in this year's game weren't in 2nd grade the last time CMU won and both schools had gone through multiple coaches. In 5 years with the new MAC/ MSU contract if MSU loses they have a point.
For the first time since Duffy I think MSU has a coach who wants to be in East Lansing long term and has a plan to get better. BW and JLS may have wanted to be in East Lansing too but they lacked recruiting plans to be successful.

Totally agree. Just tweak the scheme and get a real DB coach.

So you're going to play the game that Narduzzi needs to be fired? Never mind the fact that he's got guys like Ware, Hyde and Fortener to work with in the secondary. That his DL is incredibly young and unproven. That Gordon is horrible in pass coverage.
The personnel will improve, and magically, so will Narduzzi's stock.
Again, dig deeper. Man, you have incredibly thin skin for someone who claims the contrary.

you dont bother me. you're a twit who works for some corn cob newspaper who hates me...wow.
If you look deeper his scheme and inability to disguise it has been exposed and several times this season opposition has said clear as day...we knew what they were going to do and how they were going to do it and just hoped they would try.
Again, just ignore me and I'll do the same. go proof read someones column.
I arguer with people like you for fun....and because Joe Buck puts me to sleep.

Here's where we disagree then. I think you have a gripe about teaching this year, instructing this year, but forget about wishing away this scheme on both sides of the ball. Matter of fact I'm at my 9 year olds soccer game today and right when she scores the ******* best man from my wedding calls me up and wants to talk football philosophy with me. So because I'm an addict, I can't put the cell phone away and my wife is shooting eye missles at me.
Anyway, here it is. I think Dantonio sooooooo believes in his schemes that he's using them without the personal he needs. Yep, he's teaching these ****ers what can work and what he believes in even though he doesn't have the guys who can carry it out............. yet. Example: Want to shove it up their ass down at the goal line? Great we're going to do it without Jehrue. Yep, we're going to block it like we did last year, we're going to hit the hole fast like last year and we're going to run this mother ****er up in there.
Defense? Maybe you didn't hear him comparing the cobra blitz to the 98 cobra blitz that worked agains OSU, but guess what, I did. He used that just like we did in 98. Know why cause he BELIEVES in it. Except, look at this years defense and 98's and with the exception of maybe 2 guys none of these guys could play on the 98 defense. Know what? Doesn't ****ing matter, run that ****er cause its what we bellieve in.
I'll stop here, but dont' think Dantonio is going to change. And dont think it's such a bad scheme. Like everything, it's always personal.

As Spartans we have been the most loyal fanbase in the country with respect to return on investment. We continue to burn our hands on the stove week after week expecting differant results only to see the same movie.
Will I be there? Yes, if only to setup our massive tailgate and see the people who are important to me.
But for those who wont go, refuse to go, have better things to do, why are they less of a Spartan? If we are truly honest with ourselves the product this season has been dog****. Last nights game was simply the crowning jewel on this trainwreck. I can see why people with less obligation, less time, less interest will just say "no thanks" this weekend and spend time at home, with family, etc.
But why do people here just lob that phrase around so often? I really think all the disappointment of the last 40 years has warped our sense of loyalty. at some point people just lose interest when they keep getting their hopes dashed.

agree 100%, you only need to look down the road at Ford Field to see what 50+ years of losing does to a fan base. apathy.

Mike states what he thinks, I did the same thing last night and all day today. What makes Mike different from all of us? He has an audience.
Don't rip him for airing our dirty laundry for all to hear, people watch us play on TV, they know our FB program has issues.
Mike isn't speaking about things we all don't know, what pisses people off is he does it on radio. These are the same people who want him to praise the program when we win.
Radio is a two way street.

It's alright -- I'm used to it.
He can't get through a thread rant against me without dredging up the same boring, sophomoric material.
Narduzzi's got nothing on Mike's telegraphed schemes.
