DickRod is starting to remind me a little bit of John Cooper at OSU in his treatment of the UM/OSU rivalry. Of course the difference between the 2 is that John Cooper was actually able to win enough to get into decent bowl games at OSU while DickRod is a complete moron.

I'd also add that he's not the one who should be making that observation. If your kid fails to graduate HS, you don't want to hear the principal saying, "Oh well, the world needs ditch diggers, too."

This is one of the stupidest ****ing things you could possibly say as a football coach making the kind of coin he makes at the school he's at.

Besides, Im starting to wonder if this whole "pride comes before the fall" stuff doesnt apply to us too. Though Im not saying we cant enjoy their suckage; but we dont have much to back up the smack talk.

Oh, it definitely applies to us. Before the season we were drunk on kool-aid, every game was winnable, and a BT championship was a sure thing.

Every game WAS winnable. Pissing away 4 of them doesn't change that.

True. At this stage it's hard to look at each individual loss and make the arguments for how close we were without addressing the more common theme of losing close games.

I thought the monkey was off our back after beating scUM this year, but even then we let them score two touchdowns late in the game to force OT.

We just can't close out tight games consistently.
