2 QB system = 4-5 record. Yup this 2009 can be blamed on
That said...I'm still holding out hope for 7-5
6-6 = SOS

I've posted this several times since Sept. KN mechanics are right out of the playground.
I'll offer a worse thought.
KC was not recruited as a stud qb. He was a reasonable late get when KN bailed and we needed to fill a schollie, don't forget we had Folles at the time also.
KC is a great kid and a good leader and a very servicable qb, might even be good if we had a true running game. BUT......
Maxwell was recruited by with a full year to evaluate both his capabilities and our qb style and needs.
Are we looking at a 2 or even 3 qb rotation next fall ???? THIS CAN ONLY GET WORSE.

You are a moran. There is a whole lot of time between now and next year. One QB will separate himself from the rest (Cousins pretty much has already) and one QB will play next year. This year is a strange situation with two nearly identical QB's, and it has played out strangely. Nevertheless, players' talent doesn't freeze during the offseason. This year is a fluke QB-wise, I have a strong feeling next year will be a more traditional look.

No...6-6 does not necessarily = SOS. 4-8 or 5-7 then maybe yes...but not 6-6. At 6-6 they can still make a bowl game and win it. Irrespective of that however, the next 3 games...and particularly how this team responds and plays those 3 games...win or lose...will determine whether this season = SOS or not. Let's just wait and see how this all ends up before labeling this season an abject failure.

Definately. If they finish 6-6 and win their bowl game this would mark their 3rd straight winning season. Not bad.

You develop players by letting them play. Cousins takes a huge hit next year and who's left? A backup with no experience or one that has won games?

Yes definitely, by all means throw him in for clever 3 and outs when you are down.

Is Dantonio drunk when he's coaching these games? Seems like the guy has to put the bottle down and just let Cousins play the entire game. Dantonio has proven nothing this year. All he's shown is that he's a SOS coach. This season just erased the 9-4 season and the progress we made. Dantonio should be on the hot seat in year 4 if this garbage happens again.

IF KC says, its hard to get pulled after a drive, imagine how hard it is to go into a game cold, and then have to be perfect on every play. The reason imo that KN did as well as he did against UI was b/c he wasnt worried that every single play was the final exam. That said, i do agree that the problems on this team are much deeper than the qb play.

I absolutely agree that there is a lot of time room for separation and room for injury.
But why is this moronic ??? Look at your own quote...One QB will separate himself from the rest (Cousins pretty much has already) ... yet we keep seeing a two qb system at the oddest (worst in most people's opinion) times.
Exactly why will next year be more traditional, what if Maxwell is the best qb coming out of spring ball and continues it in fall camp. Will sit his second year captain ??? What about KN at that point ??
Whatever is going on this year has gone on way too far into the year to suggest that we wont see more of the same. Not guaraunteed but how can anyone say next year will definitely be different.

Sure, the ND interception was bad. But on an overall basis these are two players that you just....don't.....have...to worry about. When Nichol is in I cringe as he draws back to pass. When the ball is heading to Dell or Cunningham or anyone not named Blair White I'm also on the edge of my seat.

Cunningham has been just unbelievable this year. The guy is $$$$$. I don't know why anyone would worry when the ball goes his way.

since this board is so obsessed with giving players nicknames, how about "skippy" for nichol.
