I started watching the original The Prisoner a couple weeks ago. Very interesting. I find it odd that they are uncertain as to the actual running order of the episodes. Of the 17 shows made, they only know which one was the Pilot and which were the last 2.

I own all the episodes of the original Prisoner...Loved when they would play it at MSU late at night on some way ******* obscure channel (couldn't afford cable during my college days). Would come home from work late at night and The Prisoner would be on. Used to look forward to the episodes.

The Prisoner was just a great series...I absolutely loved watching it as a teenager and am looking forward now to seeing the new one. It is rather strange regarding the running order of the original series. Patrick McGoohan was supposedly going to make some cameo appearances in the new series but he died before production of it began. A real shame because that would have been awesome.

So did anybody else watch the first two episodes of The Prisoner last night on AMC?
It was so strange that I have no idea what kind of grade I would it give it so far. Each episode had a couple of funny parts (the fold-out map in episode 1 and the tour bus in episode 2), but I'm not sure that is going to be enough to keep my interest.

It has promise. It's hard to not want to compare it to the original if you are a big fan of it like I am, but on it's own merit it may turn out to be really good depending on how they develop it and let it all play out. So far though, so good.
