Right because the gunslinger would insure good OL and secondary play.

The one thing 's done in his tenure at MSU that I thought was wrong, was bring in KN. If you offer one unheralded QB (Cousins) to make sure you have one on signing day, then go get a pretty highly regarded kid like Foles after signing day, I think it's really bad form to take a third, QB transfer, into the same class.

You can say what you want, but was basically telling Cousins or Foles to leave. As it turns out, Foles is looking like a much better QB, and I think shot his program in the foot.

OP, I'm sure they parted friends, but what would you expect Foles to say. His kid saw the writing on the wall, and needed a release to play elsewhere, gave them the release. They're not going to then blast him after he did so. It's funny how the "homesickness" became acute after KN transfered.

If we had Foles and used Martin as the wildcat in our No-Huddle Spread Attack we would be freaking 9-0.

So did Dantonio sell out by getting Nichol to transfer?

All speculation, but it'd be interesting to see what actually went down after Nichol decided to come back.

The good cop in me believes that Foles simply didn't want to go up against two other QB's for the starting job and wanted to go where he could see the field immediately.

The bad cop wonders if certain unofficial promises were made to Nichol re: playing time. Hell, I still wonder about that to this day, because for the life of me, I can't figure out why he still sees the field over Cousins.

We both need tinfoil hats, because I cannot figure out why, in a close game, you would pull a QB that had just led TD drive?! It would be a little more understandable, if KN didn't then come in and bounce the ball to a WR/RB/TE, but I've seen that play so often that it hurts. Sort of like the RUM at the goal line.

I apologize for hijacking your hijack but you really do need to grow up, grow a pair, grow something.....your obsession is pretty sad. You stated you have been on this site for 13 years? Maybe its time to take a break. People are laughing at you and how easily you get bothered.

Just stick to your wonderful threads; stay on topic with these profound, deep thoughts. And then maybe we can enjoy some pleasant debates in the future.....ok?
