We will win the last three games and a great bowl game..
...by a combined 55 points.
This season has not gone as planned. Bad luck. Bad fumbles. Bad schemes. Bad refs. Bad play calls. Bad drops. With all this, every loss has been VERY close. It's one of those years. But this team is getting lessons you learn only the hard way. They are very, very talented. And very young. They are inexperienced and getting the needed experience. They are soooo close. Western comes at a perfect time to flush out the problems, get healthy and get right. This team has been on an emotional rollercoaster that has not been kind. But all the way they have fought and not given up even once, like past teams. Even when they get burned, they get back up and fight to the end. This year is different. Dantonio IS building. This team IS different. And the ending WILL be different. Look for domination in the final 3 games. PSU will go down. A great bowl game as a reward. And a convincing bowl win over a better team for a cap to an overall very good season. We ARE moving forward. No pain no gain. Don't give up.

Great! Thanks A Lot! Now you ruined the ending for me. Damn you. Now I don't even want to watch the last 4 games. ****er. Way to ruin the whole season by giving away the end.

In all honesty, the "inexperienced ones" aren't the ones who are ****ing up. The upperclassmen on the team (Ware/CLR/Weaver/KDC/Hyde/Anderson/Nitchman/Cironi/Moss) need to step it up. They are experienced but they just haven't been able to get it done.

The fumbles from Baker and others have been pretty costly...

ha, love the sunshine.
this assumes that if we even win out, we'll GO to a "great" bowl game at 7-5 with a loss to a MAC team at Home.

This is the mindset that keeps me going. For all intents and purposes this is a rebuilding year for MSU football. The opportunity for us to go to a third bowl game in a row and beat michigan a second year in a row in a rebuilding year is nothing to scoff at. And yes, losing Hoyer and Ringer makes this a serious rebuilding year as far as Im concerned.

I still have faith, too! If there's anything college football has taught me, it's to never give up hope in your team.

This is what I said before the season, I said 7 wins would be realistic with this team. We lost most of our studs and had to reload with a lot of youth. We are where we are, and even played better than I thought we would much of the way, just coming up short. But the SIGNS are there of a great team just finding it's way

If we win out, beat PSU and all convincingly, we'll carry a big bowl, trust me...lose one game though, and MAC for sure.

If that could happen, I'd say MD salvaged the season. As an MSU fan, I try and keep a balanced perspective. Every year my desire is:
1. Win the games you're supposed to (fail - CMU game. Minny on the road is a toss up)
2. Beat Michigan (win)
3. Go to a bowl game (?)
4. Win bowl game (?)
So yeah, if MSU wins out, gets a decent bowl, and wins it, this year was a success in my book. MSU doesn't make a bowl, not good...

if we don't win 2 of last 3 we are SOS. I don't see them beating PSU with their clear advantage in talent and coordinators. If they can beat Purdue on the road and handle WMU, get to a bowl again, that is enough for me at this point.
But I think it's possible Purdue QB has huge day just like Weber did. With no DL pressure, backfield will continue to be vulnerable. I'm sure PU views MSU as their equal and expects to win. With PSU, Clark and Royston will pound us.
Hope I'm wrong

Probably the Alamo Bowl at best. It's not like we're going to jump Big Ten teams for a better bowl just by beating PSU.

At this point I just want to have 6 wins going into the Penn State game. I'm pretty sure we will beat Western, however I'm not convinced Purdue will cooperate. That game concerns me greatly. If we knocklehead around in any aspect (oline, secondary, rush 3, goal line play calling, first 3 minutes, Nichol after a TD), then we lose.
