There's understanding your time is in the past, dealing with it and moving on with class.....and then there's Allen Iverson.

He was the best PG on that team. He should have been the starter. This was not the case in Detroit.

He's 34 and playing on a team with a bunch of young guys, he needs to realize that he was brought in as a veteran presence to come off the bench. If he can't be a good teammate at this stage in his career, eff him.

I agree he's old but he was better than Conley right now. I mean, they signed him to put butts in the seats, right?

Conley has a long career ahead, he couldn't stand down for a year in the name of learning and making some cash?

I love all the off-season interviews espn was eating up about how he was never healthy in Detroit, and it was all the coach's fault. Uh, no.

I would still take this guy for a starting 5 in a game if my life depended upon it. Still the toughest guy in the league, pound for pound.

Once again, the "veteran leadership" bull$#$# is revealed as, well, bull$#$#.

See Jesus Boy Kitna, who walks off the field after throwing a Pick Six, then screams like a b$#$#ch at the coaching staff. Gotta love that "veteran leadership."

QFT. He's a huge tool and I can't stand him. I was so glad when he left Detroit — we don't need egos like that, egos didn't win us the championship on 04.

Tablecloth-suit Curry was a disaster in the making after JoeD again refused to offer Laimbeer the job (I'd still like to know why Joe is pissed at Bill). JoeD throwing AI into Curry's overwhelmed world didn't help. The only coach ever close to reigning in the answer was LB.

I wish AI well in his mega$ retirement with no ring
