I was going to post this last weekend, but because of the meltdown following the
MSU/Minny game, thought I'd wait until RCMB was in a better mood.
So last Saturday (Halloween) afternoon, I somewhat grudgingly tagged along with my wife and kids to the Okemos Meijer to do some pre-Halloween shopping. As we headed towards the back of the store, my eyes, Terminator-style, locked in on a display of sports-related DVDs. One was the "Greatest Stories of
MSU basketball" (which I already own) and a few others were scUM bowl games from years past (yawn), but looking a little further, I found the 2000
NCAA basketball championship game DVD for a measly $10.99. (I have a recording of the game on a crappy old VHS tape). I immediately snagged it and proudly announced my discovery to my wife, who said, "Can't you just watch that on-line?" (Women just don't get it).
Anyway, the moral of this story is that sometimes tagging along on boring shopping excursions isn't such a bad thing--you never know what you may find.
Anyone else have any cool
MSU-related item they, perhaps unexpectedly, found recently?
