Joe Boisture named to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl
Had a crappy season, but still earned an invite to the game

I'm amazed that he's still alive after getting murdered behind his backup smurf line all season.

Hopefully this will shut up some of the people who are questioning him...kid has amazing tools, he wont need to even sniff the field for us until he competes with maxwell in about 3-4 years

This is why the US Army game has become a farce. Sure, they get guys like Pryor and Clarett, but then you pull in a Joe Boisture, who has no business in this game due to his horrible play this year.
It's like naming Michigan big ten champs before the season starts.

There are alot of politics behind the selection process.
That being said, it's Joe's chance to step up and silence the critics and play well.

The best part is a few days after he gets back from Texas, he will be in East Lansing starting classes. That means he'll be in the weight room for winter conditioning and will participate in spring football. That's good news. More time working with the team means more time to learn the offense and to put some good weight onto that 6'6" 202 lbs frame.

Please elaborate.
I thought he went to Saline(?) from Goodrich(?) in order to play with a better team and better competition?
Why would he have gone to play for a team where he'd get beat-up all year?

Well at least he played the whole season...........last year's selection of Baker was a farce.
I would like to see this game go into the toilet; it does absolutely nothing for the concept of high school athletics. It does everything to promote the prostitution of individuals.

Lots of injuries on the offensive line and he was getting sacked like crazy. Like Jeff George crazy. Eventually got removed from a game with a concussion.

But he had a ****ty year and doesn't deserve to be in this game, right nals? I mean, it's really that simple.

Yeah, but why is a guy who gets benched multiple times in a season in an all-star game? Did he even make the all-conference team?

Don't they pick all-conference after the football season?

Like this "benching"?
Late punt return for TD helps Monroe beat Saline, 28-20 - MLive.com
"First, Michigan State University-bound quarterback Joe Boisture was knocked out of the game with a neck stinger on a scramble attempt, mere minutes after he had thrown a 55-yard touchdown pass to Nicholas Ostrander for a 20-14 lead.
Boisture had been sacked four times as Saline entered the locker room with negative-33 rushing yards and 69 yards of total offense to Monroe's 165 yards."
And yes. Morons were reporting this as Boisture being benched.
Other season highlights
"Saline quarterbacks Joe Boisture and Trey Heren were sacked six times and under pressure the rest of the night, finishing a combined 4-of-13 passing for 39 yards.
Saline (2-1, 1-1) played the game without four injured starting offensive linemen and leading rusher Garrett Gordon, who was limited primarily to defense with a cast on his hand."
"
The Michigan State University student newspaper was on hand to cover a battle of two future Spartans. But Saline quarterback Joe Boisture left Jerry Niehaus Field in an ambulance midway through the first quarter and Chelsea found most of its early success through the air rather than with its usual heavy doses of MSU-bound running back Nick Hill.
Boisture suffered a concussion and aggravated a previous back injury and taken to the hospital as a precaution."
