Big10 Nonconference schedule next year
I was looking ahead to the Big10 Non-conference schedule next year and it looks pretty impressive. Some Ws in these games next year can go a long way to change the image of the B11 around the nation.
Here's what part of the slate looks like (minus the notre dame games):
Illinois @ Fresno State
Iowa @ Arizona
Michigan vs Uconn
Minnesota vs USC
Ohio St vs Miami (FL)
Penn St @ BAMA
Wisconsin vs Arizona St
I think Minn will get throttled by USC but the others seem very winnable.

You forgot Michigan State vs. Florida Atlantic!
PSU @ Bama is probably not much more winnable than Minn/USC

Bad year for Minn to draw that card, they will need Gray to grow up in a hurry to compete. PSU will also be down most likely. The Big Ten matches up nicely in the rest.

On the contrary, it could be a loss-fest across the board and we could be the laughing stock of the nation once again

You really think a win over UConn impresses anyone?

UConn is solid. I'm glad to see any Big Ten team schedule more than 1 BCS/ND team in a single season's non-conference schedule... even if it's Duke (and, hey, Duke isn't so bad this season either).

I'm gonna take a stab at it and declare that historically, they have had the best punters in college football.

The vast majority of teams will be playing a D1-AA team with the 12 game schedule. Might as well just get used to it and move on.
I also don’t see the issue with playing a MAC team. It’s a midwestern D1 conference, don't you kind of expect Big Ten teams to play them?
