NOW on Friday Night Tailgate: RCMB mod hits BTN cameraman in balls
So Friday Night Tailgate wanted to do a segment on the dodgeball team, which I started up in 2003. I still play every once in a while since I'm here for law school. They want to do a few interviews, so I show up and explain a bit about how things got started, show them how they warm up, a few other things. They were in their personas and this bit got hokey fast. Once that's taken care of, we all get told one of the hosts (who are okay guys when not in their "personas") has recently had eye surgery and to avoid hitting him in the face. I tell everyone "don't hit that guy, don't hit that guy," not wanting to see things get ugly. So what happens?
I see a guy on the left side of the court during practice, aim, throw... it slips out of my hands and zooms right for the cameraman. "NOOOOOOOOOO!" Yep. Drops him like a sack of potatoes. I feel awful. Thankfully the guy took it in good stride, and of course the hosts milked it for all its worth. Anyway, you wanna see a mod feel REALLY embarrassed, turn on BTN Friday at 11.

If they're ok guys when not in their personas, why the hell do they do it? They are the most irritating duo on TV. I'm glad you hit somebody associated with that show in the balls.

Yeah i was there, i personally think he was aiming for him to get more camera time . but yeah it was pretty sweet. We watched the tape back and his legs fly up in the air as he is going down.
And yeah, those guys were actually not completely annoying off camera.

I felt AWFUL when it happened. Then I realized it was going on TV (and that what hair I have left on top of my head doesn't show up on camera) and felt worse.

I saw the footage, he reacted so severely and the camera was set up so perfectly everyone's going to think it was staged. He goes down like he's been shot.

I just hope they didn't get the one where you-know-who is getting ready to charge me down. I know she's looking to pick me off, so I act like I'm not paying attention, she comes at me quick like she always does, and >BOOM< launch a no-look shot right at her midsection. And unfortunately, it dipped a few inches. She looked pissed.

Be honest -- your new ESPN Overlords instructed you to take out the competition, didn't they?

That show has some potential. Too bad the dooshbaggery of the hosts pull it down. They should have done it something like the Burly Bear Network. Anyone remember that?

io'm watching this show and it's kinda painful doing so. i would absolutely destroy those two fans in comparison in terms of watching the game. while doing the iowa fan.

I don't know you, but I agree with you. Hell, you've got "Death" in your name, that alone should be sufficient.

Dunno. Whenever the dodgeball segment comes on. I'll be the almost-bald guy. Sidenote: This is why I always wear a hat to football and basketball games. My hair's thin enough as it is, but when I exercise or it gets pressed down it looks even worse. Probably should go the Neitzel route, cept he does it by choice.

Earlier this season a BTN guy came by our tailgate with a survey. I told him flat out how awful this show is and that if they wanted to fix it they need to start making it about the schools and less about these two ass clowns. They obviously didn't take my advice... Then again, I had probably just shotgunned a beer before I said all that

They're not doing a very good job of keeping who won the trophy secret.
Then again, I guess that's their schtick.
