Cop tasers 10 year old girl, gets 7 day paid vacation
Wow... should have tasered the mom for calling the ****ing police when her kid has a tantrum.
Link
So, he gets suspended with pay for not having a camera on his taser.

That cop is a world-class poo-say. Seriously, where the **** are they getting cops these days? Mental institutions? Or did he just get released from prison?

If you read the story, the mother gave the cop permission to taser the daughter, and the mother is the one who called the cops. The girl was out of control and if the cop tried to put the cuffs on her and subdue her in the state she was in at the time, she could have ended up with a broken leg or arm.
If the cop had put the girl in a headlock or wrestled her to the ground and she ended up with a broken bone or concussion, then you guys would be all over him for that - The cops can't win for losing with you guys.

Who breaks their child's arm when trying to restrain them? Seriously it's not that hard. You don't taser a freaking 10 year old girl.

If the guy can't subdue a 10 YEAR OLD GIRL, maybe he should put down the ****ing doughnuts, and hit the gym.

There just seems to be so many of these taser happy cops.
It doesn't make sense. Even if the cop was afraid of the 10 year old girl, he will always be known to his blue fraternity as the wimp who couldn't handle a 10 year old girl.
Why are cops always assaulting people for their own safety?

Sorry Minnie. You often have reasonable posts, but you are wrong on this one.
I ten year old boy or girl just does not have the strength or leverage to resist a reasonably in shape adult. With care, the cop should have been able to restrain her without injury to either of them.
No way in hell does a taser ( a potentially fatal device) need to come into play.

There are juvenile mental health support units contracted by the state (at least, there are here) exactly for these situations. They come out, calm and/or restrain the minor, and get them the medical help they need. The cop was the wrong person for the job.

Really? That is you question? This story isn't the one but you expect cops to put their lives on the line when they have a non-lethal alternative?
And don't start with the people die from tasering crap. As many people die from pepper spray exposure.

I'm still confused as to why the police were called to help control and discipline this lady's 10 year old.
