Dantonio's quote about the glass being half full

"(It's) disappointing, but the glass if half full, and we're moving forward."

I am so sick of Dantonio patting his players on the back after they come off the field after getting burned!!! How is the glass half full when the defense got exponentially worse after pretty much just losing an undrafted safety. How can you honestly look at this season and say we've moved forward? Seriously...I wish he would toughen up and take some blame instead of sugar-coating everything all the time.

Yeah why doesnt he take the Rich Rod approach to talking to his players, that seems to be working.

You walked on, then walk off and go somewhere else.

You don't matter. Prez Simon, a majority of the BOT and AD Hollis matter. You just don't.

Yep, he should publicly rip them a new one 2 or 3 times a game, just like RR.

Seems to me MD spends more time thinking up cute little quotes all week than preparing his team.

Yank schollies.... that will teach them!

Hang them out to dry... We will have recruits to replace them! (what... you say they wont come to MSU if the coach throws them under a bus... I don't believe you.) That is not what real demand excellence programs do...
sincerely,
dbags who wish MSU is something it isn't...

Then think. Its not Dantonio's style to rip players or his program in public. Never has, never will be. Think. There is a reason Ray and Anderson are no longer on the team but you didn't see or hear Dantonio ripping them publicly.

The glass is half full due to the offense...It is the defense that is the empty part.

You guys act like any coach who has ever yelled at his players before has never had success...i don't get it. i'm not saying i want coach D to start turning against all of his players but a little emotion might light a fire under 'em.... every time i watch our secondary come off the field after getting torched he is right there clapping and giving them fives.

Plus, what would be the benefit? The season is over... Wouldn't you WANT the kids to want to work hard all summer? Throwing them under the bus isn't going to get them up every morning to run or lift this summer.

Then you weren't even born the last time MSU went to the Rose Bowl. Find some perspective. The program is 100% better off than it has been during most of your lifetime.

I respect that MSU doesn't air its 'dirty laundry' in public. Its best to handle those things internally

I realize that, all i am saying is that this season is extremely disappointing compared to coach's first 2 seasons. That is it. People here act like this season was another step forward and i don't agree with that.
