I'm looking forward to it. I should probably pick up a gallon of milk and some bread. I have eggs, hummus, chicken, pasta, and peanut butter.

Bring it, ****ers. I bought booze and junk food yesterday. The store was already sold out of bottled water - hope my tap water doesn't run out!

I could do without the snow. It makes the whole city practically shut down and nearly impossible to do much of anything. Just hoping I don't lose my electricity with the heavy snow/wind...

I live on the top floor of my apartment building and have a balcony. Great capabilities for watching the storm come in and watching all the DCers FAIL their way through the snow. Should be awesome.

Driving from the DC area to NYC right now, trying to stay ahead of the death wall and snow zombies.

Better them than us. We haven't had much snow this year, and after last year, I'm loving it.

Got to love the Federal Government decision. Come to work or take leave, wait a minute, come to work and leave four hours early. Wait a minute, those who chickened out and took leave, you will not get the four hours off, you must take leave for the whole day.

It's pretty standard for early dismissals to only apply if you're in duty status when the early dismissal is scheduled to occur. Same way on days before holidays when we sometimes get a couple of hours off.

I went to CVS last night to pick up my "don't die" pills, and it took me 20 minutes to park. The store was stripped bare when I got in there, and I swear to God I stood in line behind a chick with four bottles of wine and three bags of Cheetos. People here are acting like we're about to get nuked.

Snow already coming down pretty hard in Northern VA, tons of poplice and plows sitting on the side of the Beltway waiting to do work. I am on 95 North in MD now and no snow is falling. I have escaped certain death.
