I'm sure you'd have the same opinion if one of our guys (say Raymar Morgan) was the one averaging 19, 10, 6 and 2.

As evidenced by their stunning loss to Michigan. They still should have beat M with Lighty and Buford and Debler.

A Pitt fan tried to tell me I wouldn't feel this way if he wasn't in the B10

That's just it though. Players NEVER put up numbers like this in the Big Ten. That's why this is so remarkable. People will always find ways to knock the Big Ten, but nobody can ever knock that this league plays some, if not THE, best defense in the country year in and year out.
To put up his numbers in a defensive-minded conference is absolutely insane. To be leading the conference in every major statistical category? That is freakish, and something we may never again see in our lifetime.
And by the way, to the poster that said he is 'overrated'. Yesterday ESPN did a poll about who should be the Big Ten POY. Kalin Lucas was in first with a very comfortable lead over Turner. Now, I love Kalin and think he absolutely deserved the award last year, but most people in the country have no idea how special of a season Turner is having. They're just voting for Lucas because he won the award last year. Turner is easily the most UNDERRATED player in the country, IMO.

His game reminds of Grant Hill. Point forward, slasher..maybe a better shooter than grant was in college too

And now Tyreke Evans (SP? Can't bother to look him up) is one of the leaders for NBA ROTY at Sacramento

He's seen as a lock for the top 3 by nearly all draft sites. Unless the Pistons get lucky, not much chance to land him. They're bad, just not that bad.

The poll ended that way because Musberger talked about the poll during the MSU/IU game. He kept bringing it up and begged viewers to vote. The Spartans watching then stuffed the ballot box, so to speak. Including many on this site who would vote, clear cookies, vote again, clear cookies, and so on. Turner was leading until then. There were only a few thousand votes, and probably 60%+ were Spartans.

The only knock on Turner is his lack of a consistant jumper. Right now he can create his own shot by getting to the basket at will but the jury is still out on how that will translate going up against players with the speed and size that he has. Tonight he was matched up against Moore/Grant who were both giving up 6-7". the kid is a great college player I just don't know if he's going to be a star at the next level.

Just don't sign the guy up for next years' slam dunk competition...although he might get some originality points if he breaks his back again.

This is what I don't get. how do you break your back and come back to play in less than 2 months??
I'm glad OSU lost. It's perfect for us. As we can still lose to OSU and take care of business in Purdueland to get a share.
Had OSU won and we lose to them, then we are going to depend on someone else.
