Newspaper story LSJ - Spartan fans O.K. with first half

Quote:
OKEMOS - When Devin Thomas came within one defender of breaking the opening kickoff return for a touchdown, the crowd at Frank's Press Box exploded. "It was loud, we were high-fiving, yelling, screaming," said Mike Boring, 23 of East Lansing." When Brian Hoyer threw the first of thee first half interceptions, the noise silenced. "That kinda sucked the life out of it," his brother Tim Boring, 28 of East Lansing said. It's been like that all through the first half, a series of screams and silence that ended with Boston College leading Michigan State 14-10 at halftime of the Champs Sports Bowl. Overall, the crowd was fairly positive on the Spartans' first half. "BC's a pretty legit team, they're a top-15 team, and MSU hasn't played well against real good teams this year," Tim Boring said. "I just think people are pretty excited to see MSU back in a bowl game."
