Some Spartan fans who just can't wait for some competition have satisfied themselves at the Spartan Invitational water polo tournament.There are 20 teams from all over, including those from Grand Valley and Penn State. It's an annual event and this year's tournament just happens to fall on Game Day.Michigan State University's water polo team won a national championship in 2006 and lost in the finals last year.Today's invitational goes until 6:30 p.m. So, if you can't get into the football game (or if you just don't like football but want to show some spirit somehow), stop by. The tournament continues Sunday. Catch all the action at IM-Circle, next to the stadium.
