With a 4-5 record -- 3-3 in conference play -- this team needs to win at least two of its last three games to be eligible for a third consecutive bowl game. That description applies to Western Michigan and Michigan State, and the losing team will find itself even further away from its goal after today's game at Spartan Stadium.
