Joe Biden
For those of you more 'In the know' than I. What do you guys think of Senator Biden (D) from Connecticut I believe.
Guy seemed like an ideal president to me, I wouldn't care what his political orientation was, obviously he will have a hard time even getting the nomination short of Hillary giving some guy a hummer.
He is, at best, a pipe dream to win the election. Especially considering the .01 electoral votes Connecticut has.
He seemed very straightforward and bright on Real Time last week, he and the gentleman who wrote "Stategery", a bush advisor, had a lot of great interaction.
He was very critical of his own party for not being "respectful when it came to peoples religeous beliefs"
He has been accused of being long winded, and I could see that, but he was more 'explanatory' than 'rambling'.
Seemed like a good man, the kind we rarely get elected, maybe a great VP someday?

I didn't say I love him and I don't expect you to, I just asked what you thought about him 'policy wise', and if I didn't make that clear, I am now.
He has the whole "old white guy" thing going for him

Biden is from Delaware. He is a very good US Senator who won his first senate election before he was 30 and has been re-elected multiple times. He lost his first wife and daughter in a traffic accident after winning the '72 election. His 2 sons survived and he has since remarried.
He will never be nominated. In 1987 he plagarized a speech(s) from Brit Neal Kinnick.
Biden thinks long term and has learned from his '87 mistake but with the political climate as it is, his '87 errors will be paraded out as sure as we will see some TV reporter standing next to the post office on the 11 o'clock News every April 15. (or 17th this year)
It's an odd thing right now. We have people in the White House who have lied about things that have caused 1000's of deaths and serious injuries and that's okay. But admitting error on speech(s) nearly 20 years ago? You're not qualified.
Hindsight tells us he would have been better to drink heavily, find Jesus after a midlife crisis and then enter politics.

Biggest blowhard in the Senate - documented history of plagiarism, bad hair weave, typical northeastern liberal Democrat.
Yes - I would love to see him as the Dem nominee in 08. Sadly I don't think it is likely.

Indeed - parading out someone's plagiarism mistake from 87 is dirty pool, however making light of someone conquering alcohol additction 20 years ago is perfectly OK and should be brought up over and over.
And you wonder why you aren't taken seriously.

Not dirty pool @ all, politics is dirty buisness.
I think what Bush/Rove did to McCain is a little over the line though.
1988 Presidential Campaign
Controversy broke Biden's candidacy for the U.S. presidency in the 1988 Presidential campaign. He was found to have plagiarized a speech from British Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock. The plagiarism was considered all the more serious, because it included details of Kinnock's life which were not true in Biden's case. After Biden withdrew from the race, it was learned that he had correctly credited Kinnock on other occasions but failed to do so in an Iowa speech that was recorded and distributed to reporters by aides to Michael Dukakis, the eventual nominee. Dukakis fired the senior aide responsible, but the damage had already been done to Biden.
It was also alleged that Biden had plagiarized while in law school 20 years earlier in a first-year legal-writing class. Unaware of appropriate standards for legal briefs at the beginning of his legal training, Biden used a single footnote rather than multiple citations required to cite five pages from a legal article. Both Syracuse University Law School and the Delaware State Bar Association cleared Biden of plagiarism charges.

A GOP member who went through many years of adult life drunk is praised as "conquering an addiction.?"
But a Democrat who quit drinking is always a reformed drunk.
When you try to be serious about something it is laughable. The GOP always has excuses for all their problem children. They "conquer addictions."
Can't conquer Iraq though. Can't rebuild the Gulf coast either.

Thank you, that did nothing for me.
I assumed she was a human, and perhaps a link or something would be grand.
I'm glad NOTHING has come out of this thread but garbage.
Wellcome to Hells Hall.
