Biden caught on video being racist...
So much for the dems being the party of the minority. The arrogance of that man...he knows full well that the cameras are on him and he stilll is condescending and mean-spirited to that guy.

In fairness, Senator Biden doesn't think he's being mean-spirited or condescending, and that's the true home of racism. The biggest thing standing between Joe Biden and the White House is Joe Biden.....egads.

Wow, he may even be as much a racist as Cheney, Bush, and the rest of the Neo-Cons.

I'm sorry, but how did I present an excuse for Senator Biden?! Two questions - are you responding to what I wrote and did you understand it?!

So you are not saying Mr Biden is in the clear because his words do not reflect his heart? I guess I misunderstood you.

I suggested that this initial thought by WCS was inaccurate as it wasn't a situation where the Senator was worried about being condescending or mean-spirited. I suggested that it wasn't as if he was being intentionally racist, and that the home of racism is where it actually comes from the heart without much involvement from the head.
That's not a defense at all....

Did he use the "N" word - like Sharpton and Bill Cosby have used then I guess they are all racists.

I agree - criticism of Senator Biden is unwarranted. He is a fine man with a good heart.

But it is a double standard. You never see (not "you" personaly) any such "benefit of the doubt" offered when the suspect is conservartive.

I'm not giving the benefit of the doubt to Biden at all. I think racism is in its true form when it's as "honest" and without thought as this. He saw zero harm or offense in this when he said it. That's not a compliment. He likely sees it now, and will change his language. But will he change the bias that drove the comment?! Hard to know...
Such unitended racism reveals the institutional nature of such views, and whether they come from the left or right really doesn't matter. It's wrong. I think I've been consistent in expressing that opinion.....

But still you aer saying he is good regardless what he says, just as long as [insert name here] says so. And the judge in such cases alsways turns out to be a liberal whose political agenda is clear, especially when it comes to not recognizing and condemnting that double standard.

When have I said that?! You're new, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt in not realizing this isn't something I'd say or believe in.

I don't say that you personally have said specifically that, but you echo (by your silence) the liberal media view of the world, wherein if you are slightly right of the politically correct view you should be dismissed as "racist" or whatever other tag you think will fit. but if you are one of the liberasl loved by those media you are unchallengable in whateever you say. You seem to accept that as "jsut the way it is" without coming right out and sayign so.
I dont know you and have read your views only this afternoon/evening, so I do not make a personal criticism. But what is standard political correctness remains even if you are the nicest guy alive.

I think you have summed it up perfectly: liberal media =
Why can't the liberal media ever challenge those that they love. Bastards.

I "echo with silence" the liberal media view of the world by condemning the racist remarks of Senator Biden. You'll go far on Wells with the "echo with silence" thing. I like it!
What I think is that I used too many words and confused you, newbie....:D

I think you might be misinterpreting He Heals remarks. Biden is getting a pass because he is liberal. They would never condemn their own.
Don't you realize that without the liberal media, the conservatives would not be persecuted the way they are; and actually might control one of the levers of power in gov’t?

He's getting a pass?! Looks like the local paper in Delaware picked up the story. I think you agree with me, and the echo of silence I'm hearing tells me that's true. Yes, the liberal media owned by Murdoch, GE, Viacom, the Disney Corporation, etc... Corporations are well known to be the voices of the people. I know this because of the echo of silence....

I didn't realize that was his middle name. I think he left CBS, and he still doesn't know the frequency. He's also a bad journalist...Geraldo-like, but without the mustache.
