Here is an updated summary of government complicity in the 9/11 attacks.

(1) Immediately after Sept. 11 there was much coverage in the news about large numbers of "put" options on stocks of companies directly affected by the Sept. 11 attacks. We have never been told who made the trades, including $2.5 million in options on United Airlines that went unclaimed.

(2) It has been confirmed by the FBI that the head of Pakistani intelligence, Mahmoud Ahmad, wired Mohammed Atta $100,000 before the attacks. Ahmad ate breakfast on Capitol Hill on the morning of 9/11 with the heads of the Senate and House intelligence committees.

(3) WTC 7 was not struck by an aircraft at all, and yet it collapsed perfectly within its own footprint late in the day on 9/11. The 9/11 Commission didn't discuss it in their report. FEMA said the reason for the collapse is "unknown at this time." It is the first structure of its kind in the world to collapse in such fashion from an alleged fire. Its tenants included the Internal Revenue Service, the Secret Service, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Mayor's office of Emergency Management and the CIA's New York Station. All of the evidence points to a collapse via controlled demolition. In fact, the owner of the buildings indicated in a PBS documentary about the 9/11 events that a decision was made to "pull" the building. So why does the FEMA report say it came down because of fire? If it was brought down by demolition, who had the time and inclination during the chaotic day of 9/11 to go in and wire up the building for demolition? If it was demolished, it must have been wired before 9/11. It doesn't make any sense.

(4) We still have never seen a clear video of a plane hitting the Pentagon, even though it is one of the most guarded facilities in the world. Still photos which purport to show the collision were released only after Thierry Meyssan wrote his book, The Frightening Fraud, a bestseller in France about how a commercial plane did not hit the Pentagon. The most important issue here is that we're to believe that Hani Hanjour, who couldn't fly a Cessna in August 2001, pulled off the miracle feat of sliding the plane into the Pentagon by flying 530 mph just a few feet off of the ground (is this physically possible?) into the civilian portion of the building with the skill of a fighter pilot? Could they really identify all but one of the passengers by DNA if most of the plane vaporized? How could one of the most protected buildings in the world get hit when the second trade center impact happened 35 minutes earlier? Where was the air defense from the nearby Air Force base? Some of this is borderline unbelievable.
These articles argue that it is preposterous to think that amateur pilots could have flown these planes, especially the Pentagon flight.

I pointed out to Dr. Zelikow that one of many reasons this conspiracy talk about 9/11 continues is that there have been no photos released of the Boeing 757 wreckage inside the Pentagon, or outside either, as we normally see after a civilian plane crash. I asked if he has seen photos that show the wreckage of the 757. He said, yes, they have photos, and that he has seen them, and he also said that there are eyewitness reports from a dozen or so rescue workers at the Pentagon who confirm seeing those airplane parts in the wreckage. Well, I asked, can I or some other ordinary person see these photos? He said no. I asked if I could see the rescue worker's statements, and he said no. I told him I had seen photos of the exterior Pentagon wall before it collapsed, and the hole where the plane entered appeared to be only about 20 feet in diameter, with unbroken window frames on either side of it where the wings and engines would have hit. This hole was much too small for a 757 to enter, and no wreckage of the plane is shown on the ground outside. He said those photos might have been "adjusted" in scale by someone to give the wrong impression. I asked if I or anyone else could see the National Transportation Safety Board report about the crash, or even about the 757 being picked up by radar as it approached Washington, and he said no.

(5) Spiking of the investigations of the hijackers. Mike Ruppert's book, Crossing the Rubicon, shows that several FBI agents in two offices (Minneapolis and Phoenix) as well as other individuals (most notably Robert Wright) did a great job conducting investigations, writing memos and requesting to further investigate some of the alleged hijackers because they thought for certain that these guys were in training to crash planes. At most every turn, the agents were ignored, smeared or threatened when they tried to speak out. But for one exception (Colleen Rowley), all of their memos have been classified in the interest of national security and won't be released. Here is Colleen Rowley's memo.
I know I shouldn't be flippant about this, but jokes were actually made that the key FBIHQ personnel had to be spies or moles, like Robert Hansen, who were actually working for Osama Bin Laden to have so undercut Minneapolis' effort.

(9) The hijackers were most likely patsies. Note that Mohammed Atta didn't spend much of his time with Muslims. He regularly did coke, drank and dated a stripper. Read Daniel Hopsicker's "Welcome to Terrorland" and hear it from his stripper girlfriend right here. Does this sound like a guy who wanted to meet Allah? The point here is that what we're told about a few of the hijackers is nonsense and it is likely that Atta and some other alleged hijackers were into things like running drugs or were otherwise intelligence assets who may have thought that they were carrying out something entirely different than what transpired.

The think tank closest to the administration drafted a paper in September 2000, indicating that to meet their goal of global full spectrum dominance, "the process of transformation, even if it brings about revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a New Pearl Harbor." Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, and Perle all were members of Project For A New American Century at various times, which is the organization that drafted the paper.

A similar, related theory is that the war on terror is a convenient cover for sequential war over the planet's last remaining oil reserves as world oil production goes into permanent, irreversible decline in the near future (known as "peak oil").
By definition, world hydrocarbon (oil and gas) production peaks when half the planet's reserves have been used up. After that point, every barrel of oil will be harder to find, more expensive to obtain, and more valuable to whoever controls it. Many of the world's foremost experts place that peak between 2000 and 2007.
We live in a global economic system based on endless growth, and that growth is only possible with endless hydrocarbons to burn. Demand for oil and gas is increasing at staggering rates; after peak, there will be demand that simply cannot be met, and energy prices will rise inexorably.

** Some people in the 9/11 truth movement are attempting to show that the main towers collapsed due to detonation, not the pancake theory. I believe that this is a waste of time because dozens of engineering and physics experts do support the pancake theory and to prove otherwise devolves into a contest of whose expert you believe. It is worth noting that several witnesses who escaped the buildings insist that they saw and heard bomb-like explosions going off before they evacuated. (2) It has been confirmed by the FBI that the head of Pakistani intelligence, Mahmoud Ahmad, wired Mohammed Atta $100,000 before the attacks. Ahmad ate breakfast on Capitol Hill on the morning of 9/11 with the head of the Senate and House intelligence committees. Also, we're told that the guy that Ahmad had carry out the wire transfer, Omar Saeed, is one of the people who killed Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl. My, that's a coincidence.

(3) WTC 7 was not struck by an aircraft at all, and yet it collapsed perfectly within its own footprint late in the day on 9/11. It is the first structure of its kind in the world to collapse in such fashion from an alleged fire. Its tenants included the Internal Revenue Service, the Secret Service, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Mayor's office of Emergency Management and the CIA's New York Station. All of the evidence points to a collapse via controlled demolition. In fact, the owner of the buildings indicated in a PBS documentary about the 9/11 events that a decision was made to "pull" the building. So why does the FEMA report say it came down because of fire? If it was brought down by demolition, who had the time and inclination during the chaotic day of 9/11 to go in and wire up the building for demolition? If it was demolished, it must have been wired before 9/11. It doesn't make any sense.

(4) We still have never seen any video of a plane hitting the Pentagon, even though it is one of the most guarded facilities in the world. Still photos which purport to show the collision were released only after Thierry Meyssan wrote his book, The Frightening Fraud, a bestseller in France about how a commercial plane did not hit the Pentagon. Also, ask a commercial pilot if they could pull off the maneuver of the flight path that Flight 77 took as it approached the Pentagon. They will likely tell you that it's doubtful at best. So, we're to believe that Hani Hanjour, who couldn't handle a Cessna in August 2001, pulled off the miracle feat of tucking the plane into the Pentagon by flying just a few feet off the ground into the civilian portion of the building with the skill of a fighter pilot? That is almost unbelievable.

Photos and videos of the Pentagon flight were taken but never released. Videos were confiscated immediately from at least three nearby businesses. How did officials know where to go immediately to confiscate the video? Here is the response of a 9/11 Commissioner regarding the videos. What are they hiding?

I pointed out to Dr. Zelikow that one of many reasons this conspiracy talk about 9/11 continues is that there have been no photos released of the Boeing 757 wreckage inside the Pentagon, or outside either, as we normally see after a civilian plane crash. I asked if he has seen photos that show the wreckage of the 757. He said, yes, they have photos, and that he has seen them, and he also said that there are eyewitness reports from a dozen or so rescue workers at the Pentagon who confirm seeing those airplane parts in the wreckage. Well, I asked, can I or some other ordinary person see these photos? He said no. I asked if I could see the rescue worker's statements, and he said no. I told him I had seen photos of the exterior Pentagon wall before it collapsed, and the hole where the plane entered appeared to be only about 20 feet in diameter, with unbroken window frames on either side of it where the wings and engines would have hit. This hole was much too small for a 757 to enter, and no wreckage of the plane is shown on the ground outside. He said those photos might have been "adjusted" in scale by someone to give the wrong impression. I asked if I or anyone else could see the National Transportation Safety Board report about the crash, or even about the 757 being picked up by radar as it approached Washington, and he said no.

(6) The most disturbing evidence in Mike Ruppert's book, Crossing the Rubicon, shows that several FBI agents in two offices (Minneapolis and Phoenix) as well as other individuals (most notably Robert Wright) did a great job conducting investigations, writing memos and requesting to further investigate some of the alleged hijackers because they thought for certain that these guys were in training to crash planes. At most every turn, the agents were ignored, smeared or threatened when they tried to speak out. Some of these FBI agents got so upset their superiors wouldn't listen to them that they actually called up this guy who prosecuted Bill Clinton (David Schippers) to get through to the administration because they thought Schippers had clout with the administration. John Ashcroft ignored Schippers' calls.

(9) There were procedures in place up to June 2001 to easily deal with intercept of civilian planes within a couple of minutes. Payne Stewart's flight was a prime example. For some reason, NORAD scramble procedures were transferred to Donald Rumsfeld in June of 2001. By most accounts, Rumsfeld was missing in action while the planes were being hijacked. Who was in charge?

(10) Note that Mohammed Atta didn't spend time with Muslims. He regularly did coke, drank and dated a stripper. Buy Daniel Hopsicker's "Welcome to Terrorland" and hear it from his stripper girlfriend right here. Does this sound like a guy who wanted to meet Allah? The point here is that what we're told about a few of the hijackers is nonsense and it is likely that Atta and some other alleged hijackers were into things like running drugs or were otherwise intelligence assets who may have thought that they were carrying out something entirely different than what transpired.

(17) Who was coordinating the multiple war games exercises on the morning of 9/11 (some of which included practicing for events such as...amazing coincidence...terrorist hijackings), which paralyzed fighter response and especially left D.C. wide open for attack? Why weren't fighters scrambled from the Air Force base a mere 10 miles or so from the Pentagon? Mike Ruppert says the holy grail of 9/11 is in the wargames exercises. Ruppert argues that Cheney was in charge because of the multiple wargames running that day -- Vigilant Warrior, Vigilant Guardian, Northern Vigilance, an NRO exercise (name unknown), and Tripod II (a non-military biochemical attack exercise involving FEMA) -- that needed coordination from outside NORAD. <65> If he has no single source to nail this claim down, it is because of the extreme evasiveness shown by officials about that day, as for example:

A similar, related theory is that the war on terror is a convenient cover for sequential war over the planet's last remaining oil reserves as world oil production goes into permanent, irreversible decline in the near future (known as "peak oil").

By definition, world hydrocarbon (oil and gas) production peaks when half the planet's reserves have been used up. After that point, every barrel of oil will be harder to find, more expensive to obtain, and more valuable to whoever controls it. Many of the world's foremost experts place that peak between 2000 and 2007.

We live in a global economic system based on endless growth, and that growth is only possible with endless hydrocarbons to burn. Demand for oil and gas is increasing at staggering rates; after peak, there will be demand that simply cannot be met, and energy prices will rise inexorably.
