So if a person wants to get to heaven, but is in some third world country far away from any form of churches, then when they die, there's no way for them to go to Heaven?

That said, I'm always amazed at someone that is so convinced about God like you.
What is it about two people, one who can accept what can only be described as absurdity on faith, and the other who can't?

Susie Creamcheese:
Maam with all due respect the difference is this....I have a GENUINE relationship with Jesus Christ. YOU need one. I CHALLENGE you to just give Him this one try. Read this first post and pray that prayer to God FROM YOUR HEART. The problem with many churches is that they fail to emphasize that you need a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ in order to get to heaven. It's NOT about going to church, reading the bible, or going to catechism, being baptized or being good. It's NOT about that. That's why. No other reason. You need to pray and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you for your sins and come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior. If you are truly willing to do this, you WILL have a genuine relationship with Him from that moment on. Please do that now. That is the ONLY way you can get to heaven. Did you know that? Forget everything else and do that. Pray the prayer in this first post, then tell me what happens. I will pray for you.

I went to heaven once, her name was Daisy....
I can't tell you how to find her. But if you do, you'll know what I'm talking about.

You haven't noticed that I'm doing doctrine on another thread?
I don't know if you know this but there was a guy named Old Wise One who had to go bye, bye, I don't know why but I'm not sure a true Wells Hall tradition is accepted here. Me, I get into issues. I wouldn't be here had I not been looking for information on the recruiting of our fooball coach. What a wild ride that was. He may end up being the 'pigskin Messiah' that Perles could have been. But, that's the RCMB and it's the down season. Over here, I have an assortment of interests. I do admire people who live their lives on a daily basis with a focus on leading people to new birth in Christ. I'm not saying to lose your focus but you my try branching out a little. It's boring and a little offensive to watch Christians trying to best each other over theology. Doctrinal debates are great if both parties are open to learning and if they are doing so because they think they may help another find a better way. Doctrinal debates done in pride are antithetical to the supposed purpose of the debates in the first place- to share Christ. Love your focus, though.

I seem to recall you identifying yourself as Catholic, is that right? It's amazing what people think Christianity is.

That wasn't my point. My point was to keep the topic going so that others could read the gospel on here and learn more about how to be a Christian. I am glad to know that you debate when you need to. Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm guessing just about everyone who has ever clicked on this thread knows your point. It's a balance, you have to care about people and give them the gospel. Giving people the gospel to rack up points in heaven and to acquit a religious duty isn't how it works.
Search your own heart, but if someone is going to err it's nice to see them err on this side of the road for once instead of everyone being all cool and not messing up that cool talking about Jesus. I'm your no. 1 fan.
Cym Jim, get saved m-f'er

Have you ever heard the Garth Brooks song, The Dance? Most gut turning music you ever want to hear.
Has your heart never been broken, have your guts never been ripped out? Sometimes, death seems far away for people and we are far braver than we would be in a crashing airplane. This just happened this past week, my sister ran over her little dog and killed it. Dog lover doesn't capture it, I've seen videotape of her singing love songs to him. Cute guy, you know, but that describes a lot of dogs. The thing is, it wasn't the UPS driver who ran over him, it was she herself who did it pulling slowly into the driveway as she has done thousands of times in the past.
Of course, we can tell stories of people losing people, too. People get hungry for explanations of tremendous loss and also their own mortality. Those who have suffered the pain of great loss don't look at the things the same way as people for whom death still seems an abstraction. For those who hunger for lost loved ones or to find more to their lives that just a firefly in mid glow, there really and truly is 'good news.' In no sense do I believe it is merely wishful thinking because I was kind of slow to come around myself. For anyone afraid of being naive, or weak, or just wrong, I say at least open up intellectually to the possibility that there may be someone somewhere who can make sense of all of this. For you see, men share in the burden of the salvation of the world. People who believe carry a burden and a responsibility to spread the light and the hope. But, no one can take up that burden unless he himself has dared to believe first. Incredibly beautiful are those who have believed and given their lives that others discover this hope too. It's only good news because it just happens to be the fact that God actually is. If he were not, or something like him, there would be no such good news. I'm not going to deny that God is because I have a great need to be self-sufficient, at peace with my own mortality. 'God is'? 'Great, give me some of that immortality and yes, I'll take up the burden of helping somebody else to discover it too.'
God gives us evidences that he is real. He gives us the message but he also gives us evidence. The evidence given is personal and for each it is a little different. The evidence and the surety keep coming and keep growing as we are faithful to what we have been given. Some of us have absolutely no doubt that God is.
