In other news, gas prices have dropped nearly $0.40 in two weeks. I'm guessing that this is somehow a bad thing, Demms?

That's a pretty stupid investment strategy. Illiquid. Long Term.
Invested in Venezuelan companies, right?

I guess based on your insight, in theroy the blame for the drop in the stock market falls directly into Bush's lap.
You people are precious!
Thanks for playing and have a great day!
BTW - By reading your signature reference to the Bible, I should remind you that it's not very Christian-like to call people names - especially using profane words like "*******". So much for loving thy neighbor I guess. Just another display of right wing hypocracy at its best.

Is it that hard to realize the boom in the economy under Clinton wasn't because of him or Bush Sr? The internet companies boomed and then collapsed. I don't believe that the republicans are that ignorant to believe it was all Bush Sr and that all democrats think it was all Clinton. C'mon now.
Do you really expect Bush to have looked at "numerous" reports and solve the terrorist plot prior to 9/11? If you have educated yourself about the situation, you would understand similar reports are discovered daily all the time. This is all assuming it wasn't a gov't plan like many of you wack jobs seem to think. After all, didn't Bush plan all of it anyway?
Spy vs. Spy you are a clown. FishHead was looking out for you when he called you a *******. He's just trying to show you the error of your ways like a good Christian would. You should thank the Lord Jesus Christ for FishHead's good doing.

I don't believe ALL Republicans are that ignorant either...just too many on this board who have implied this reason of thought whom I have called out.
Do you really expect Bush to have looked at "numerous" reports and solve the terrorist plot prior to 9/11?
It's well documented that the Clinton administration gave Bush "numerous" warnings when he came into office about terrorists plots...warnings so blatantly obvious that it even included plots "using commercial planes to fly into buildings". Bush, in all his arrogance assumed nothing like this has ever happened or will never happen on American soil and decided to IGNORE these warnings. Look at all of the terrorist plots that have been avoided since this wake up call - or perhaps your loyalty to Bush blinds you to the truth. I guess spending time on the ranch in pre 9/11 Crawford was much more important than national security and since the attacks on 9/11 the right wingers are making up all kinds of excuses to cover their screwups and intell failures. How much you wanna bet these kinds of warnings are never taken lightly again? It's a shame that so many people died as a result of ignorance, arrogance, and partisan politics.
If you have educated yourself about the situation, you would understand similar reports are discovered daily all the time.
Thank you for stating the obvious, but what's your point? What is your explanation for why so many terrorist plots have been avoided since 9/11? Maybe because Bush was left looking like Forest Gump in that Florida classroom and now understands they are serious and that American ISN'T immune to major terrorist attacks? Do you ever think in retrospect he wishes he would have actually taken the time to have read the obvious warnings HANDED TO HIM by the privious administration and taken precautionary measures instead of being known as the president with the "most vacation days in history" during his first 8 months in office leading up to the attacks???
This is all assuming it wasn't a gov't plan like many of you wack jobs seem to think. After all, didn't Bush plan all of it anyway?
I never said this so don't put words in my mouth. If you can't win a simple debate, I guess the next best thing is to change the subject by making a statement I never said.

Clown, *******, douche bag
Wow. As a Christian myself (who is also big enough to admit I'm not perfect by any means), unlike you and your fellow "Christian" fishhead, I certainly hold myself above childish namecalling even despite our political indifferences. But I guess when you can't even argue a simple debate, it's quite easy to just start calling people names.
BTW - Based on the type of names you called me, I assume you are still in high school as "douche bag" is a very popular term used with the freshmen & sophomores I help coach. If not, you might want to work on it. Because being the self-proclaimed "Christian" you say you are, I highly doubt you'd ever want to present your little post to your pastor, wife, or children to read. I don't think they'd be very proud.

No I go to MSU. I can't present this post to my wife but how about a girlfriend? I guess I could give it to my pastor... he'd get a good kick out of it. He'd probably just think of you as a silly lib.
I argued my side of the simple debate. You can re-read my post if you need to. You mention over and over in your posts throughout this thread about winning this "debate" but the main part of your last post is ridiculous. You basically claim that Clinton knew about any terrorist plot situation and told Bush everything he needed to know. I noticed the word partisan in your post as well... partisan people like you make wells hall hilarious to me. You can't stop for a second to even consider anything other than Clinton is great.

To quote Ronald Reagan, "Well, here we go again."
Your original arguements were based on words you put in my mouth which I never even said - and now I'm saying Clinton gave Bush everything he needed to know to stop the plots. Not true.
What I said is Clinton gave Bush numerous reports about a terrorist plot "including plots to fly commercial aircraft into buildings". This isn't me making this stuff up - it's a plain and simple fact!
My question is, what did Bush do with this information if he even read it at all???
Did he take steps to upgrade security at airports? No.
Did he inform the FAA or other security administrations? No.
Did he take steps to potentially screen pilot applicants? No.
Did he take steps to investigate current or former flight students who might have set off "red flags" and fit the mold of a potential terrorist? No.
My problem (well, at least one of my problems) with this whole administration is the fact they completely failed at their job by ignoring information that SPELLED OUT IN PLAIN ENGLISH what could possibly happen. It's not like they were given sketchy information saying "based on bits and pieces of chatter we've been able to intercept over the last eight years there's a possibility of an attack. We just don't know when, where, or how."
Jebus - even a simple act such as tightening up security at airports and doing background checks on pilots might have made a difference. Can I say for sure this would have prevented 9/11 from happening? Hell, no! But if taking NO ACTION AT ALL is your arguement, that's pretty weak.
As for partisan politics. Yeah, I'm just as sick of it as you are. I simply used the term partisan politics because I truly believe the BIGGEST reason these warnings were ignored is due to the mass amounts of white hot hatred for Bill Clinton from the Bush administration. Had Junior received those reports directly from Bush 41 or Ronald Reagan, you'd better believe they'd be taken seriously. Yes, partisan politics.

So did Clinton ignore the warnings because of the massive hatred for Bush 41?

That can be proven by his staff taking all the "W" keys off the keyboards as they left.

Since when did Clinton hate Bush 41?
Seriously, I know they have a deep respect for one another today which I think says a lot about both men, but did the two actually "hate" each other in the same manner as 43???
If Clinton did hate 41, that would be a good question as to whether or not Clinton ignored warnings from Bush. If you or anyone can provide an example it would be interesting to know.
For the record - as much as I think Junior's administration will go down as one the the worst in American history, I've always liked elder George. I didn't always agree with what he did, but unlike his son, I had respect for him and was actually surprised he lost in '92. Had he finished the job in Desert Storm, Clinton probably never would have had the opportunity to be president. And I think that's as big of a reason 43 went after SH as quickly as he did.

This was debunked years ago.

On April 27, the GAO's Bernard Ungar finally informed Rep. Barr's office that there wasn't any damage to the White House, or, to be precise, there were "no records of damage." It took three more weeks for Barr to finally respond, citing his dissatisfaction with the investigation but, ultimately, giving up. According to Ungar, an inspection of the White House by the General Services Administration, the federal government's property managers, did find "that there were papers all over the place, and that it was really messy." But there was scant proof of active mischief.
