Mitt Romney eats skinless chicken - at KFC
Fox News showed video of Mitt Romney eating at KFC, apparently a photo opp. First he took the skin off the chicken, and then ate it with knife and fork!
The anchor pointed out that the whole point of going to KFC is to pick the chicken up and eat it skin and all.
This is not to start a political dispute. The guy is over 60 and looks to be in remarkably good shape. He makes a good case for clean living. But have you ever seen someone at a KFC do this?

Yeah Id do the same thing if I got stuck eating at KFC.
It helps avoid those fun bypass procedures later in life where they have to cut open your ribcage, remove veins from leg and sew them onto your heart. Sound like fun?
But I'm sure its all worth it if you get to eat some chicken skin.

If he was going to do that, why go to KFC in the first place? All had to do was eat a small piece or two of chicken and that was it. Yeah it's not the healthiest food out there, but a piece or two won't hurt you. Why eat it with a fork and knife? KFC is something you eat with your fingers. He seems like the guy at McDonald's or Burger King who eats the burger with the wrapper partially wrapped around it.

There is NO WAY he was "stuck" at a KFC. Every moment and location of every campaign is tighltly scripted right now.
As the news anchor said, the skin is the whole point of KFC. Remember those 11 herbs and spices?
I don't eat at KFC -- haven't in years, ever since I learned they actually inject lard into something that already is loaded with fat.

Yup, this was planned to show that Mitt is a normal guy who eats at KFC like millions of working-class families do, but he blew it when he took off the skin. Makes it look phony. Someone on his staff should have ordered the strips or popcorn chicken since they seem to have a little less fat.

1. If you're trying to show that you're buds with the ordinary folk, you eat the way they do.
2. It is not possible to eat sensibly at KFC. They inject the bird with lard. Even taking the skin off, I bet you're eating a serious artery clogger.
3. I think etiquette rules would allow picking up fried chicken and eating it with your fingers.
4. I think if I'm wrong on point 2, I don't think the folks eating at KFC are exactly people who eat at state dinners with good table manners.

I think when you make the choice yo go to KFC, you are giving into your caveman sensibilities. You want to rip meat off the bone with your teeth, and devour the flesh. It's part of the "f*** it I'm going to KFC" decision.
Mitt probably ate the chicken like he normally eats it among the people he associates with. To him that was completely normal. If anyone did that around an average American though, we would likely think they were a little strange.
