I haven't watched Keith in years, when I tuned in

But looking back at his broadcast, it's only been since the 03-04 election cycle that he's gotten to dislike...nay...hate Bush.

And, he started to say the same things then that are being said by 90% of Americans now.

Don't know how that's hindsight.

I think the left's biggest problem is giving the general public too much credit for having a nuanced intellect

Olbermann is indeed a smart guy which scares the NASCAR mouth-breathing knuckle-dragging voting block.

This thread was mostly intellegant till that comment. Vote for people not parties! Don't speak in black and white, 1's and 0's. The party is flawed, and has strayed away frorm it's foundations....at some point, when people realize that if we keep getting farther right the USA will become the USSA, then the party will go back to it's roots, and start empowering people to make their own decisions on how to spend their money, empowering them to get up off the couch and make something happen instead of waiting for someone to do it for them. But when you crush the American spirit like the party has done, people will start to want the government to handle their problems, and make their decisions and that's when we end up becoming socialists, and the American Dream dies.

Plenty of people saw what was going to happen by going to war with Iraq, and spoke about it a great deal before the invasion started. But, you'd be very hard pressed to find those people on the major networks in the lead up to the invasion. Olbermann may or may not have been one of those people I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying, but I read plenty of articles before the invasion saying that Iraq was a mess, they had no weapons programs, they had no links to Al'Qaida (except in the Kurdish north), etc.

McCain

Keith is Great.

John McCain is an *****

"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because her father is Janet Reno."
Salon Newsreal | A joke too bad to print?

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain's intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain's hair and said, "You're getting a little thin up there." McCain's face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you c**t." McCain's excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

The Raw Story | Book: McCain temper boiled over in '92 tirade, called wife a '****'

McCain's outbursts often erupted when other members rebuffed his requests for support during his bid in 2000 for the Republican nomination for president. A former Senate staffer recalled what happened when McCain asked for support from a fellow Republican senator on the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.

"The senator explained that he had already committed to support George Bush," the former Senate staffer said. "McCain said ‘f— you' and never spoke to him again."

"He had very few friends in the Senate," said former Senator Smith, who dealt with McCain almost daily. "He has a lot of support around the country, but I don't think he has a lot of support from people who know him well."

Someone with the high school nickname McNasty.... thats who I want as my C-I-C.

Republican party is a joke.

I can't support their platform. And what they did get me with...smaller government, less restrictions, and no deficit has been tossed aside. Now, they are the party of economic and social warfare.

On their own people..the American people not just those who cut checks for their campaigns.

I can't support what the party has become. Doesn't matter who it is that is standing on the platform...it's the platform I have a problem with.

McCain didn't support the same platform in '00. He does now.

(And an FYI-The US has been socialist since the new deal)

Not after the last 8 years of lies and making our country weaker.

If that makes me dumb...then ignorance is bliss...but you know that don't you?

Ignorance? Tell me which President or politician hasn't lied before. We all know that Clinton obviously hasn't huh?

So if everyone lies...how can you have faith in anything???

Hindsight?

It's very amusing how many of the far right-wingers claim to be "moderates" or "centrist".

My question is: Compared to whom? Attila the Hun?

Clinton lied about his dick getting sucked. All that cost us was millions of dollars in an attempt to get him impeached.

Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction. All that cost us was a few billion dollars and thousands of dead and wounded.

Yeah, that's the same thing.
