I can't believe how weak McCain is at public speaking
Maybe its just my bias but he seems to try to be lecturing very basic concepts in a very uninspired manner. He lacks some of the humor that even GWB possesses. He seems like a person who just started a course that day and was asked to speak about what he learned.

He's awful. His jerky movement and William Shatner style breaks in sentences are really poor for someone who has had as much practice at public speaking as he has.
And someone should stop writing "My friends, ..." into every third line of his stump speeches.

Just remember his credentials to get into the Senate.
395 out of a class of 400 at Annapolis and 6 years in a prison camp.
Oh yeah and a second marriage to a rich chick.

And all this time I had thought one had to be elected to get into the Senate.
And yet you probably still voted for Kerry, right?

Maybe we'll be lucky enough to go from one uninspiring, ****ty speaker to another.

No doubt he's led an impressive life, but his public speaking skills are horrid.

if there's one thing I've learned from dumya, it's that you don't have to be good at anything if your parents were successful

Please edit the thread title.
Just a friendly warning, it's easy to dismiss you. As you run your go-to move of: "Poor public speaking equates to lack of intelligence," please keep in mind that you aren't being taken seriously.
Calling someone dumb loses all it's force when you can't spell. For instance, "beleive."
Thanks.

Finally, check out how the liberals continue to have trouble updating their tag-lines.
I'm sorry, guys. But, you can't call McCain dumb, chickenhawk, or Bush.
They just don't fit.

Of course they're scared poly. They are in the process of nominating a guy they knew next to nothing about, who is turning out to be a fraud, and is in such trouble in the general election that McCain is going to win with a coalition of fed-up democrats and conservatives willing to cross over and vote for him.
They would like to talk about issues, but their candidate is running on a cult of personality, although he has a continually growing list of things we cannot talk about in reference to that personality on which he runs. To further their problems, when he does say soemthing issue related, it's usually vacuous at best, and more of the failed socialist tripe we've known since the Wilson presidency forward to today.
Check out Mark Steyn's piece today. He coins the term "hawk chicken" for people like McCain who missed the "jarring experiences" of the Kerry's of the world that caused them to join the anti-war movement, and which McCain missed because he was a POW.

That last paragraph infuriates me.
I really hope someone doesn't say those things to my face. I would be less than pleasant.
As it is, anyone who types it is a punk.
As far as obama, I agree with the cult of personality thing.
The trouble for obama is that he's desperately trying to cover up being the most liberal Senator and having some VERY questionable friendships.
It isn't going to work.
Finally, if democrats decide they are going to continue ripping on McCain's service and his age, people like me are going to start becoming far more enthusiastic about McCain. I'll donate. I'll start encouraging others.
Both are completely beyond the pale.

Steyn's not advocating that term. He's saying this is what we can expect frlom the dems. Always a slur on someone. He wrote it after saying that the "chikenhawk" slur seems to disappearing, to which I replied he obviously doesn't read a certain poster here.

It's a bad move for you to be so dismissive.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
Oh, I forgot to add smilies.
