Next War? India - Pakistan?

4. Pakistan, India and the United States:

The United States is fed up with waiting for Pakistan to act against the Taliban and is becoming bolder in taking actions against the militia on Pakistani soil. Such actions enrage the Pakistanis and make Islamabad even more reluctant to act. And there is another player, too: India has moved 5,000 troops to the Line of Control with Pakistan in response to this week’s militant bombing attacks. India is not about to invade — New Delhi has not even canceled upcoming bilateral peace talks — but neither can the Congress government afford to seem weak. Washington is subtly encouraging Indian actions in order to up the pressure on Pakistan — subtly, because a public request for India to do anything would likely result in an oppositional response. Meanwhile, if anything, the Pakistani government is losing control over the country’s Islamist militants. No one is entertaining the idea of an Indian-Pakistani military conflict, but sooner or later something — American patience or the unstable governing coalitions in Pakistan or India — is going to snap.

The US would sit that one out since it would be another religious war (Hindu vs Islam) and there are far too many people on each side for a majority christian nation to stick their noses into it.

Gandhi was very right. Separating India into two countries (now three) was a huge mistake.

Let them go to war, it'll take the radical islamofascists off our back for awhile, get the world pissed at Pakistan, wipe out those smelly Indians, and bring back home our technical support jobs.
Sincerely,
Neoconservatives

Read this book if you're interested in our relationship with Pakistan over the last couple decades.

Don't go inserting logic and facts into Wells.

If India and Pakistan nuke each other that would reduce demand for oil and reduce our price at the pumps. Better idea than any of the possible pres. hopefuls
