Interesting Presidential Election Trivia
Only four Democrats have gained a majority of the Presidential popular vote since the Civil War: Samuel Tilden, FDR (4 times), LBJ and Jimmy Carter.

It's actually even better: Only two sitting US Senators have been elected President - JFK and Warren Harding.
Addtionally, only one sitting House member has been elected President: James Garfield.
