That is really not a threat anymore.

So I suppose gas prices will quickly fall with Obama's new policies, eh?
Please go on record and predict what the peak of gas prices will be next summer with President Barack?

So that's basically all that Republicans have left....."You guys are pathetic believing in Obama....There's no way he can fix everything because Bush has screwed it up so bad."
Sound logic.

Under Obama, everything will be free, all human suffering will end and it will be heaven on earth.

Maybe, but I'm not a republican.
Bush and Clinton? And Reagan?
To be honest, Bush Senior was the best of the last 3 presidents we've had. He fixed the **** that Reagan broke and didn't get re-elected because of it. Then Clinton came in and rode a bubble, open the gates on visa workers, gave China favorite nation status, signed NAFTA....and away our jobs went!
Bush junior is just god awful...

Didn't mean to say you were a Republican.
But your comment is what a lot of Republicans are echoing these days. "Oh yeah like Obama is REALLY going to be able to fix all the things that our man GWB royally ****ed up, good luck with that"
As if that's some kind of great reason for not voting for him.
I'm not naive enough to think that Obama has all the answers, but what he's doing, making like he can fix everything, is no different than every other candidate in every other election has done. And after what I've seen happen to this country over the past 8 years and I can understand why others are so desperate to believe that he is a miracle worker.
And personally after GWB I don't see how this country can do any worse. So I'm willing to give the man a shot and see if he can at least start to undo some of the horrendous damage that Bush has wrought.
And I agree Bush 1 was a good President. His biggest mistake was hitting it with Barbara at just the right time to ensure that his first child would be the complete disaster that is our President.

That's funny, because you LIBS are already making up excuses for Obama's failed presidency by saying things are SOOOO screwed up by W. W had to deal with 9/11, a stock market bubble and a housing bubble, all of which started in some form or another while Clinton was in office. As bad as YOU think things are now, they were FIVE times worse after Carter got done with "his shot" at running the country.

True, but the President is able to guide a lot of the agenda of the Congress for the first 100 days. It's just tough to think about something going on when you've got a lame duck president who won't sign anything put in front of him....I mean why improve the country when you don't like the person who suggested helping others?

1. I'm not a lib. Nice try at your generalizing there moran.
2. I'm not making any excuses for Obama should he be President. He needs to perform. You idiots who have supported Bush are one to talk about performance. He's piledriven this country into the ground on almost every level imaginable and you're too butt ass blind to admit it and still support him.
3. Saying "Well a President we had 30 years ago who was a Democrat also sucked." Is the ultimate battlecry of the loser. Carter was a crap President. But how pointing that out somehow makes it OK for Bush to be one too in your eyes is beyond belief. And BTW Carter looks like FDR and Lincoln rolled into one the way Bush has conducted his Presidency.
Keep painting broad strokes with your partisan brush though. Its the reason the country is in the shape it is today.
PS: Bubble my ass. The Stock Market and housing markets didn't start to really crash until WELL into W's second term. He had plenty of time to implement steps to try and remedy these situations but was too busy thinking of BS lies why we needed to invade Iraq. I'll be sure to get you a cane and some dark sunglasses for Xmas if you believe otherwise.
