OBL wins again
From an article shortly after 9/11...
Quote:

''If bin Laden takes over and becomes king of Saudi Arabia, he'd turn off the tap,'' said Roger Diwan, a managing director of the Petroleum Finance Company, a consulting firm in Washington. ''He said at one point that he wants oil to be $144 a barrel'' -- about six times what it sells for now.

The Bush administration is everything OBL could have ever wanted.

The Reps are playing the terror card again. I'm sooo scared. We'll bankrupt ourselves before we bring peace and democracy to the world.

U.S. has 2% of all known oil reserves.
Pollyanna strikes again.

Clueless? Why don't you let us know what YOU know about the potential of our domestic oil reserves.
Focus on offshore, oil shelf out west, and Alaska.
What I think you'll find is that we can be completely independent of the morass that is the Middle East AND not ruin our economy.

Pollyanna strikes again.
Care to actually post some proof that the U.S. has the capacity to actually tap into those oil fields at prices that would be better than current levels?
This ought to be a hoot. I've been waiting months now for Pollyanna to clue the Bush administration into his revelation that a Saddam Hussein/Al Qaeda operational link has been "proven".

Our president doesn't seem to think so.

Why do you post this? I've shown you the orginial speech. He never said the man wasn't important. He said he isn't as important as the overall war on terror.
Besides, it's been trumped a million times over by Bush talking about getting him.
Maybe you missed the recent article about him doubling the effort to get him before he leaves office?
Of course you did.

Sometimes I wish people had to pass some sort of competency test before being allowed to vote.
I guess the best thing to do is to promote education as much as possible so that misinformed opinions like this will become more and more unlikely.
