Would you rather them go in there and maximize the risk in losing men? So how would you clear the sniper from that position? I would put more blame on the sniper using that position more than the troops clearing it out. What do you think the Iraqi troops would do to clear a sniper out of there, and they had the air power to do it?

It's not the fact that they blew up the mosque that bothers me - when you consider that there was a sniper using it as a hide-out, they really had no choice. It's the fact that they are laughing about it that pisses me off. I'm sure it means absolutely nothing to them, but that mosque was sacred to someone. I don't expect them to be somber and upset that they had to blow it up, but show some respect for godsake.

It brings up the next question: WHY THE **** DO SOLDIERS KEEP VIDEO TAPING THIS ****?! It's like those jackass soldiers/Marines that videotaped themselves killing dogs and having a grand time with it. It gets posted online and the only ones that think it's funny are either other soldiers or rednecks. The mosque isn't even the issue right now. The soldiers did what they had to do and, though it bothers me that they treated it like a joke, I'm glad they are safer because of it. The issue is things like videotaping the killing of dogs and taking pictures of the prisoner abuse at the camps. What the hell did they think was going to happen when they post these things? Do they honestly think that people are going to think it's funny?

They are laughing because they are happy that they completed their mission, and none of their fellow soldiers are going to be killed by that ******* hiding in a church killing people. If the Minaret happens to go down, they know for sure that the sniper won't be killing them anymore.

Do you honestly think they'd be laughing like that if they blew up a Christian church?

Well, if it was a Christian church, then they wouldn't be in Iraq....would they? So I don't know if this other place that they blew a Christian Church up in has un-uniformed terrorists/insurgents/freedom fighters sniping soldiers. If the place was a ****hole like Iraq, they probably would be laughing about having the sniper gone.
