At first I thought, "Wow, so much for that positive campaign rhetoric." Then I found out it was just some guy and not the Obama campaign.

Actually, that's fairly good. "We (as in America) tried a republican for eight years, we like him a lot less now than when he started, but the republican candidate for replacing him likes him (by way of voting his way) more and more." Tone of music and narrator lined up well, weathered footage and the color scheme were consistent and evoked a sense of depression. Finally, the Reagan line was a nice touch at the end. I'd consider pulling a version of that out late in the campaign with a different narrator.
