Remind me again why people are voting for McCain?

I can't seem to understand that if people are so disgruntled by the past 8 failed years under the Bush administration, why would they vote for someone who agrees with Bush on over 90% of the issues....

McCain = Bush's 3rd term in my opinion.

So McCain gets elected, the people making over $250,000 get more tax breaks, we keep our dependence on foreign oil, we do a damn thing to change the healthcare system and the 42 million Americans without it.

You don't think the USA is messed up enough yet? Just wait for McCain.

I've heard "Obama is a socialist" a few times, but that's been from friends who are so far right they'd make conservatives blush.

So is anyone actually voting for McCain because of what McCain stands for.......or are they voting for McCain because they don't like Barack?

I'm for McCain because I lived through the Carter Administration and I really don't want to live through an Obama sequel of that.

Did you ever find any specific Obama/Carter similarities, or are you just going to stick to the generic RNC talking points?

McCain doesn't even know why he's running for president, other than to be president. If he can't come up with a reason to run, don't expect the Wells Hall Republicans to come up with a reason to vote for him.

Thats a pretty baseless comparison. If that is your reasoning then you have bigger issues going on.

Translation: Carter was a bad president. Therefore I never have to again justify my pick because I can simply compare the guy I don't like to Carter for no apparent reason.

You also like wars, don't care if you lose liberties, pollute the planet and want to keep the WH white - I guess I understand it's the money as if Obama will take it away.

You do realize about three quarters of Americans intensely dislike the guy.

How about windfall profits tax? Or the kumbaya foreign policy? Raising taxes? Or the alternate energy plan that ignores nuclear?

Obama wants to lower taxes on people making less than $250,000 a year.

He's never used the phrase "kumbaya foreign policy". In fact, he called for action in Pakistan and a troop increase in Afghanistan, ideas later accepted by the Bush administration.

It was President Ford who originally proposed the windfall profits tax.

Nuclear energy is a security and environmental threat, and nobody wants the waste stored in their backyard.

Are we really going to play the "Candidate did X a long time ago" game? I swear, the way the internet manages to log everything in 20 years we'll be bickering about who got dumped more often in high school.

I'm voting for McCain because George W. Bush, Jeb Bush, and Mitt Romney are not on the ballot.

Unfortunately, McCain won't be a third term for Bush. He's liberal on environmental issues and is far more populist on big business.

I'm far from right, but when Obama thinks it is OK to take money from businesses to give to his hacks what is that a definition OF? I will vote for McCain while holding my nose. At least he knows why he does what he does. My 401k has oil stocks in it and he is stealing directly from me. Profits are not Illegal. We the people should not bail out the people that bought house they could not afford just as we should not bail out the big 3. And let see on the issues, I'm pro choice as it is not my place to tell anyone what to do, I do believe abortion should have been a states rights issue, I do believe that there are too many people on the government dole but we must make sure the poor are fed. Go to Europe though and there middle class is worse off than our poor. Go to Mexico and see what poor is. Do not call me right of right when you do not know of what you speak. I do not think the best canidate won. Welcome to good old fashioned cheap Illinios politics.

LMFAO!

Wow, what a hypocrite. You start a thread saying "Vote For Obama.....BECAUSE McCain sucks".

And then attack people for wanting McCain because they hate Obama?

And it doesn't surprise me that some 18 year old chick who prolly spends more time watching The Hills than keeping up on global and domestic politics is infatuated with Mr Dreamboat Obama.

Yes we can....

I say option 3.
