I'm sorry, but Michigan is NOT in play. It hasn't been for decades. On top of that, 90% of the population doesn't even know that Romney has Michigan ties.
So what's the benefit of picking him? You scare off Christian wackos in the South and you gain what.....bolstering up Utah???

Jenny don't throw Kwame out or Kwame doesn't surrender, don't count on Michigan going B-Wack. Along with that, B-Wack still hasn't made up for his crapping on the car companies last year.

Romney is well thought of in Oakland County from his dad's days. If he can capture Oakland County, Michigan is certainly in play.

Suburban Detroiters must be wondering if Obama will Kwame-ize the Presidency...

Wouldn't that be just our luck? McCain picks Romney, McCain dies of natural causes in 9 months, ROmney is our next president. My blood runs cold at the thought of it.

I hope you're right. I'd actually cast my first ever Republican vote if that was the case. (Have been leaning towards finding an independent, otherwise.)

Glad you don't see the polls. Obama is not winning Mi right now. Registered voters are even and likely voters going slightly to McCain. Keep dreaming, this is going to be close but the pick of Biden helps McCain. Now it is McCain's turn to pick. This is looking alot like 1972 though.

I think he's a great pick if he is the guy. Simply because he can talk the economy where 3 of the other 4 guys is talking about how to EXPAND gov't, Mitt may bring some sense to financial responsibility.
I don't see where Mitt is anything worse than not helpful.

Like Biden was for Obama, Romney would be a smart pick for McCain. Proven fund raiser, national campaign experience and a track record of success as a moderate governor of a liberal state and as executive of the Olympics.

Toolman is very appropriate.
Obama wins MI 51-48%. Wayne, Genesee, Washtenaw, Saginaw, Muskegon and Kent country will have record minority turnout in a close election. I would be worried if Obama /Biden were were ahead by 10+ points. Then people stay home because they think its a done deal.

I think it was Mitt until the housing problems started last week.
