The Wells Hall reaction to this choice was predictable, regardless of whom Obama picked: the Democrats are divided and the Republicans hate him.

I like Biden. He has a mindset similar to Obama's, and has the experience that will make him an ideal advisor and confidant. Obama can see by Biden's history that when Biden gives advice, he'll give it with the best interests of the country at heart.

Maybe Biden really does take the time to understand the dynamics on the ground in foreign countries-- something that's been sorely lacking in DC for the past 8 years.

I'm ok with the pick.

If that's the case, and heck if I know if it is, I haven't followed Biden, but it seems like you could make a decent ad around that if you can find instances of Republicans taking shots at him.

*play Fox clips and/or clips of Biden followed up by clips of military officials saying the same thing*
*play clips of McCain/Romney/The GOP saying Biden doesn't know what he's talking about on Iraq (if such clips exist)*
"So if Fox doesn't know what they're talking about, and if the people winning the war don't know what they're talking about, aside from John McCain, who does?"

Nope. I tell you this though - if Bill Richardson had somehow managed to get the top slot for the Dems I would have voted for him over any of the this year's GOP field (save Fred Thompson).

Biden is a safe pick and that is exactly what Obama had to make. I would have gone with Bayh because he would probably bring Indiana into the D column with him, but Biden is safe enough. Look Biden can be prickly and arrogant, but he fills a need for Obama and he'll do fine.

Though I would like to see McCain pick Bobby Jindal just so he could drag up Biden's Indian comment during the VP debate.

If any one needed any other evidence to show what a lame pick this was - here is Jacko's endorsement.

I haven't seen this posted yet. The other Democratic candidates all think Biden's pretty sharp:

You should have seen the thread where Wrinkle thought Mike Huckabee was a Democrat.

So we know two things: you cant type, and you make no sense. McCain has gone against his constituents on immigration, and would allow the 12 million illegals to stay here. Thats a form of amnesty. Here in Chicago, the illegals get to vote. Even dead ones. Pretty neat, huh?

Brilliant. Just the kind of "change" America needs. Remember, the Dummy drives.

Not only does that not answer the question, you are telling me that McCain doesn't care what his constituents think?

Again - I'm just repeating your question - fill us all in on at least 5 significant or major changes McCain has brought to the people of Arizona during his service in public life?

I'll help Barney the Schtick.

McCain opposes the transport of other state's spent nuclear material through AZ.

But he does support building 45 more nuclear reactors.

Obama opposes increasing the use of freight lines in Chicago. But he does support more use of rail.

Obama is a joke

I am listening to him now, and it is just rhetoric and the same old story, no bush, no bush, jeeze, stop talking about bush and change, and tell me what are you going to do other than change. Obamanation what are you going to do instead of blow hot air.

And yet he's still outlined his positions more than McCain this past month, who won't stop crying because "Obama is popular"
