Once again Obama's judgment is suspect. This will only get worse for him.

Be patient leaf hoppers. McCain has gone almost 72 hours without giving the Obama campaign another quote for the TV ad wars.
Plus McCain has to flood the airwaves with his own money because as soon as the GOP convention is over he has $84 million.
Have no fear that this will be the negative campaign to date because the Bush2 folks are calling all the shots for the former POW for FIVE AND A HALF YEARS.
All things considered if the GOP fans on this board think this is a mistake I'm happy. The only one who was close to a political pro is PR and even he has a government job and isn't collecting a paycheck from the RNC or the McCain campaign..

For ONCE, I wish Biden would just come out and say, I love John McCain, but the ideas that Obama and I have to lead this country forward are better than John's ideas.
I don't believe it, but it could go a long way to getting the issues back on the front burners.

Wait until McCain picks his VP. The Obama campaign will have the same type of stuff to float on.

You would be in the minority on this, since every one thinks this was the smart pick. Plenty of respect out there in Washington for Biden. Both sides of the aisles like Biden and he's not considered to be a Clinton fan.
This was a solid pick.

Is Danny Quayle still available? He is young and has valuable governmental service and has VP debate experience.

Which is going to be interesting. I don't know what else the GOP has on the Obama vs Biden path, probably not a whole lot since he dropped after Iowa. McCain and Romney, however, they could make a decent series of ads there.
*McCain disses Romney*
*Romney disses McCain*
*rinse dry repeat*

That line of attack doesn't really play well long term - it's good for a stunt ad or two right after the naming but that's about it. Just look at 1980 - Bush and Reagan hated each other and Bush was particularly savage towards Reagan during the primaries. After the convetion all that melts away.

That ad cost almost nothing to produce and they didn't have to pay to air it anywhere. They posted to the web and sent to the networks. Cheap and easy.

it depends if McCain makes as stupid as a pick as Obama just made.
It's like Obama said "which person has the most damning qualities, pick him"
Mitt may have said bad things about McCain, but did he ever say he "wasn't qualified?". Or did Mitt ever make a racially-charged comment about McCain like "he's clean and articulate".
I'm starting to wonder if this pick will actually hurt Obama's chances with black folks.

What did they say bad about each other?
I don't think this Biden/Obama thing is just going to die. And knowing Biden he's prolly going to make things worse.
Can you imagine if Obama changed candidates...LMAO.

they could start digging up some Hillary quotes (wouldn't that be ironic??) to use against Obama, and to keep the Clinton supporters divided on whether to go for Obama. (CNN had a survey that 49% of clinton backers are either going with McCain or are undecided)
