McCain must pick the Mittster or Huckabee
otherwise he's a hypocrite, considering he is now running a commercial criticizing Obama for not picking Hillary, Obama's stiffist challenge in the primaries, right?

It's Pawlenty or Huckabee because they don't own a bunch of homes. A new vetting point McCain inserted into the process at a late date.

You would not vote for him either way, So your opinion does not really matter here. Depending on Hillary's speach I might vote for McCain. Obama lied about even looking at Hillary and that pisses me off. I still feel she is the best canidate out there and wish she would run Indy against them. Obama's VP canidate being an insider shows "change" is not what he cares about winning is.

Hillary will do what is good for the party, unlike Barack. Yes you are right she is better than Obama at every level. Obama will say and do anything to win the election, he just ditched his change mantra, and did lie about considering Hillary as a VP candidate.
Like I said earlier, Obama is nothing new, its same of politics and a much lower level.

I get the spin you're putting on it and I'm not saying I disagree, but any politician that does not do the above isn't doing their job.

Hillary said she did not want to be considered unless she was the certain pick, all but eliminating herself. The media won't relay that little nugget of info though as it would ruin a high-rating story.

But what is at the core of the Obama campaign. CHANGE, CHANGE CHANGE. He hides is own inexperience in--CHANGE. He sells america and the world on CHANGE, but at the core of it, he is just another politician, even worst than the ones the he claims to be against.
No Barack, McCain is not like bush2, Barack is more like Bush2 than McCain, tht is the sad part.

While I might not have used those exact words, I can't see Huckabee as favorable with independents. If those are the finalists, say hello to VP candidate Mitt Romney.

Try getting some facts right for a change. Most of the "homes" belong to the wife, and have for a long time, even before she was married to McCain. You could only hope to get lucky enough to marry some chick with 7 houses.

You are now Corporal Hulka.
Busted for shooting your post off without knowing the question. Simply accepting what the McCain campaign said as rebuttal. Any Sargeant knows the facts. You are not fit to lead Sarge. Back to the WWE because you cannot be a USMC or Regular Army noncom.
Listen to the question Corporal Hulka:
Its "How many houses do you AND Mrs. McCain own."

Nice try, Mike Wallace. You whiffed with your Schtick. I cant believe 60 minutes hasnt added you to the crack team of "journalists". Gotcha! McCain said he didnt know the answer to a dumb question. Maybe he owns one, and she owns 6. Or he owns 2, and she owns 4. Guess what genius? Its NOT RELEVANT to whether he can do the job he's running for. Maybe you should ask McCain how many Mercedes Benz's he owns. Or how many fur coats. Cindy McCain is wealthy. Obama is a millionaire. So what?

You bust me for not knowing the question and when you hear the same question that McCain heard it doesn't count? Nice try.
Back to the WWE Corporal Hulka, you are a cartoon character.
You are not worthy of leading your fellow FoxNews legions.

Wow, one of the most idiotic, asinine comments ever on this board; and this is a board where bee, bob and bully post regularly. That is one hell of an accomplishment.
Go out to a restaurant, ask a married person how many homes they own. I guarantee you not one will answer "I don't own one, but my husband/wife does" or "I own 1 and my husband owns our vacation home." It would be "we own 1" or whatever. To assert otherwise, as you have above is beyond delusional.
Just admit it, whether Rush or Hannity tell you to or not, McCain screw the pooch BIG TIME with his answer and wrote commercial after commercial for Obama and any 527 who wants to show just how out of touch with the average American McCain is. And while it is not relevant to McCain's ability to be President anymore than Obama's popularity is, but American politics has devolved into a popularity and personality contest, not a debate on who is the most qualified to represent the electorate as it pertains to vital issues. McCain and his campaign have spent millions ridiculing Obama for eating Argula lettuce, protein bars, drinking iced tea and working out regularly, saying those things do not represent the average American, yet here McCain has no idea how many houses he and his wife own and he's supposed to be the regular guy? He blew it on this one.
There is no honest, intellectual defense of McCain's statement any rational person can make.

Who ever said John McCain was a regular Joe? His father was an Admiral. He got into Annapolis as a legacy. He was an average student. At least he had the balls to serve his country. Did you? Maybe the fact his 2nd wife has millions bothers you. Or that she has a few mansions. I dont care one way or the other. Does it bother you Obama gets $150 haircuts at Trufitt & Hill? Or that he hangs out at the East Bank Club, the most exclusive health club in Chicago? Or that Tony Rezko helped him buy his house? Or that he supported Todd Stroger for Cook COunty Board President, perpetuating the nepotism and rigged politics that have plagued Illinois for generations? Obama hasnt changed ANYTHING substantive in Illinois. Oh, Barry did quit smoking in the Spring. Cuz it looked bad for the upcoming campaign.
McCain is not great on the stump or on his feet. Thats his burden to overcome. But if gotcha politics gets you off, knock yourself out.

the McCain campaign has.
Unlike McCain, however, Obama is a self-made millionare. I don't understand the need for a $150 haircut though. I got a $135 (before tip) haircut at Truman's NYC a couple months back, not really worth it (though the beer was excellent).

In 2004, didn't Kerry deny how many SUVs he owned? I believe he did. Eventually he responded that he didn't own one that Teressa did. Why no complaints from the Left? That is being a bit more cute by half.
Some people don't monitor their spouses portfolios that much, particularly if the money came from her family. I don't have that issue in my household but I digress. Yes ladies and gentlemen most people do know how many homes they or their wife own. Why? Because the answer for most is 1. For some the answer may be 2 but most people rarely own more than that.
You see that is the point - most people aren't like US Senators. Does Ted Kennedy or Jay Rockefeller know a great deal about their portfolios? Do many of you have a wife who has a 315 K job? How many of you can buy a home in Chicago for less than market value - before the recent real estate bubble? How many of you can get an adjacent piece of property to add to yours for way less than market value?
I don't think the McCain house issue is going to do a lot for Obama's chances. Obama has had a bit of a fall in the polls so I can see his supporters wanting this dog to hunt. However, I think that Obama's real estate deal being what appears to be a sweetheart deal isn't a good enough contrast to make this thing work for him. People figure that both of these housholds represent the tail end of the spectrum economically. Cindy McCain has some family money and bought some homes so... Bottom line the Obama people see it as a bit of a port in the storm of his decline in the polls but I don't see it as the super gaffe they make it out to be.

Self made? From the public trough? The guy was making $90k as a lecturer at UofC Law School and a back bencher in the Illinois Senate doing favors for Emil Jones. His wife was making $400K as an executive at UofC medical center. His wife was also on the board of a company called TreeHouse Foods (extra $125k yearly) while he railed against Walmart coming into the city of chicago. Except he forgot TreeHouse food biggest customer was...........Walmart. Oops. Nevermind.
He had the very good fortune, after getting his ass whipped by former black panther Bobby Rush in a congressional election (primary), to become the Dem nominee for senate when Peter Fitzgerald retired and his favored opponent (Jack Ryan) was slimed by the Dem dirty tricks machine. THe only thing worse than the corrupt Dem machine in Illinois is the inept and dumber Repub Party.
He made his money by pushing/selling his fluff books (who writes an autobiography at age 32?). I assume the same crowd that buys Dr. Phil books and Oprah garbage also picked up those two riveting tomes by Barry. Having Oprah fluff you up and promote your stuff is a guaranteed money maker. See "Oprahs' favorite things.
Isnt it ironic that all these guys who promote "public service" want to start at the top? Maybe not.

The GOP true believers just don't get it. PR, a guy who has worked at least as many campaigns as the most savy Wells posters acknowledges McCain didn't do himself any favors with the answer.
So here we go. Corporal Hulka telling us the question wasn't the question ( Yes, it was you AND your wife) and now we have folks trying to drag in Kerry. He ain't runnin' folks.
It was the GOP nominee whose campaign has spent millions trying to paint Obama as distant, elite and out of touch burning it all up in less than 15 seconds.
