Is McCain ready to be President?
What makes him so qualified?
Frankly the stress could kill him with his temper - then Mitt would be Prez. Yikes.
Is anybody ready for it until they are there?

Barry could get lung cancer. Whats your point? Joe Biden would be better?

Don't know - but who is ever ready to be Prez - my point is that the Rep strategy is stupid.

What "strategy"? Nominate a guy who's been around the block, worked both sides of the aisle, and served his country? As opposed to the Dem "strategy"? Put up a relative novice, who hasnt changed Jack Sheet in his own state or city, promised the people of Illinois he would serve out his Senate term and reneged on that, and gives a good speech? OK, Whatever. Both are lacking any meaningful executive experience. McCain is an old guy. Barry is a younger guy who's smoked for 30 years. Health could be an issue in both cases.

I also worry about McCain's mind. He seems to forget things a lot, and is constantly having to "get with his staff" on various topics.

If you think being eloquent and raw intellect is the most important qualification, Barry wins that hands down. Remember, Jimmy Carter was a very smart guy too, and he floundered. I think its about getting sheet done. In one interview, Barry was asked about lack of executive experience. His response: You dont have to know how to run things. You need to inspire people. Thats Bull, IMHO. Inspiring is great. But you need to do much more than that. There is a lot of heavy lifting that needs to be done in this country, from energy, to health care, to infrastructure, etc. If you cant get things done, all the speeches are meaningless.

Non responsive, empty, and insipid reply as usual. I'll say one thing, you're consistent. I sure hope your kids get their intellect from Mom.

With all the evidence coming out for the last 4 decades to the contrary, you folks still believe that these four bootlicking political hacks running for POTUS and VPOTUS actually have real decision making power?
They are prostitutes doing the bidding of their elite pimps. The only difference is the color of their soiled lips and violated sphincters.
They are on the same team, controlled by the same directors, carrying out a mythical, scripted battle for the soul of America.
Stop falling for their jive and start voting third party - any third party - and send these tools a real message.

Exactly. Its the opposite side of the same coin. I'm sure all the lobbyists, PAC's, and influence peddler give millions to both parties because they support the "Democratic" system. Its PAY to PLAY baby, just like in Illinois. I agree, more viable parties are needed to wean this country off the muck and mirth the Dems and Repubs have spewed for 80 years. The impediment to that? The Dems and repubs control the money, the media, and the machinery of politics. Remember Nader trying to get on the ballot? He was met at every state by a battery of lawyers from the major parties manipulating the rules, procedures, and access to the ballot. So he had to spend resources in that fight that might otherwise have been used in the general election. The Dems and R's have one thing in common: they are expert in snuffing out fledgling upstart parties which could threaten their power structure. Competition of ideas? Not quite.

Attacking the other guy and saying "I'm not him" has never been and never will be a stupid strategy.
