O'Reilly To Interview Obama On Thursday's Factor
Good move by Obama - I always thought that McCain should do Olberman.
Long Time Coming: O'Reilly to Interview Obama Thursday - mediabistro.com: TVNewser
TVNewser hears the interview will take place on Thursday in York, Pennsylvania, with the first part airing that night. Multiple parts will air thereafter.

McCain made a point of announcing his VP the morning after Obama's speech to steal his thunder. This must be the retaliation, having an interview air on Fox the night of McCain's speech. Not bad.

I'm gonna have to tune in for this. I mean, if anyone's going to give Obama the business, wouldn't it be O'Reilly?

Dont get your hopes up. I have seen his big gets and most of the time he ends up cuddling up to them. O'Reilly for all of his bluster is no Tim Russert in interogating the person. Since its Obama he also wont get up in his face and freak out.

O'Reilly will spend more time yelling his opinions than asking questions. I wish Obama wouldn't have agreed to this, as it gives O'Reilly credibility. But I bet the top guys in the Obama campaign are fighting for the chance to play Billo while they rehearse the interview.

So in other words I'm probably going to wake up Friday morning to see half the threads on the first page read "Fox gave Obama a pass?"

You probably will. O'Reilly will probably bring up some of stuff out there such as Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers but he will do so if a passive sense of saying you got these people in your past so what do you have to say? He will not be a Russert who does his background info then come at you with a series of contradictions.

That, or he'll rant about how he couldn't ask Obama the questions he wanted to ask because he would get grilled about being racist and only being tough because Obama is black.

Why?!
So O'Reilly can interrupt and talk over him? Obama is a fool is he thinks he's going to get a word in otherwise.

Believe me Jack Iam also of that thinking also because Iam extremely skeptical of fox news. With that said I seen him interview John Kerry during the heat of the presidential election cycle and Hillary Clinton during the primaries and others. Based upon past knowledge these were hardly hard hitting interviews.

I'm pretty sure John Kerry didn't go on with Bill until after the election in '04. And when he interviewed Hillary, his first question was something like, "What about this Reverend Wright guy?" He went on the offensive on other issues, but he was pushing Hillary to attack Obama.
The Obama interview will be different. This is the biggest interview of Bill's career, and Bill will have to badger Obama as much as he can. Bill has been saying that Obama doesn't give specifics, so he'll keep yelling, "But whaddaya gonna do about it?" I'm sure abortion, Wright, and Ayers will be the main topics of discussion.

We all know when push comes to shove Billo is a little skirt. He can intimidate the second tier guests but when people come on bigger and more successful then him he caves in. The guy cant intellectually compete with Obama. What questions by this point has Obama not answered?

It's not that the questions will be unique; it's that he'll just keep yelling about them. Obama has to be ready for that, and should prepare himself to be firm without shouting back.

We will see. I guess it gives me a reason to watch. Its tough to get up and yell at a presidential candidate. Its not presidential on the other side to do it. I think his behavior will tone down a couple notches.

Yer a fine, fine journalist Bill.

I'm wondering how many times Obama reminds O'Reilly that he's there to answer questions put to him not listen to the host pontificate and yell over his answers. Hillary Clinton did a nice job of reminding O'Reilly he got rich with those onerous Clinton tax ratesand reminded him he was a multi-millionaire like she and her husband, not some guy working a minimum wage job.
Somehow I know Fox and O'Reilly will use the ratings from Obama's appearance to show how they are kicking butt and taking names.
